Default Adding +1 To Your Site Using Google Webmaster Tools

Is this required to get the stats inside your webmaster tools account?

Or can you use any +1 button from anywhere (like a plugin) and still get the stats inside of Webmaster Tools?

Let me know please

Thanks
Jason

I'm almost sure you don't need to add it through webmaster tools because when you hit +1 your sharing/liking the url or resource it doesn't matter where u got the script or plugin as long as it sends info to google.

Once you have a Webmaster Tools account for a specific domain name set up then any +1 activity will feed back into the respective area of the account.
