Default Would you go for this keyword? (Samauri Screenshot)

Hey there.
I thought this was highly doable ..
Thoughts?

**UPDATE**
The SEOT value below is 167 searches per day.. the actual searches per day NOT SEOT
is 398

Here is the competition:

Looks like a slam dunk no?

Samauri? or Samurai? You got the idea from Market Samurai but with a screenshot twist?

you might be able to do it

I would probably not want to take on those PR2,3 and 4 sites though (am chicken)

let us know how it goes

Yeah doesn't quite look like a slam dunk. High PR pages and most of them have made it into the DMOZ listings - to me this means that they are very credible sites.

It all depends on the niche and the nature of the keyword too. Keyword tools only tell half the story.

Good luck with it, it is definitely possible!!

From that info alone, I would say that it's a low to medium "toughness" keyword, I bet you could find a much easier keyword with a little more work though.

In all honesty, could someone tell me what did he wanted to know? and what was the keyword? I did not get what's with the screenshot and the "samurai" is all about. I'm clueless.

It depends on you though. If you believe you can

I purposefully did not add the keyword.
This is for "x" keyword let's say and this is the competition in the program Market Samurai.

I am looking at the lack of backlinks any of these sites have myself.
Nothing links to these ranked pages and only a few have the keyword in the URL
but none of them are EMD (there is an EMD.com for this keyword, I just bought it).

The thing that scares me is the domain ages and the DMOZ entries.
A 1 year old site is ranking 4 without the KW in the URL and NO BACKLINKS however so that is encouraging.

I figure some nice spread backlinks (plus EDU and GOV) as well as great on-page SEO could very well shoot me onto this list.

I am going to see if any of these aged domains have blogs and try to get a link from THEM haha

WJ

p.s. I will report good or bad what happens and my strategy (weather my strategy works or not)

You can rank for any keyword (within reason) if you have the skills and budget.
Do you have the skills or budget to rank for it?

I'd say that on the surface it looks do-able though the top ten PR looks a bit on the high side. Lots of green to be seen - nice.

Anyways you have the emd.com so give it your best shot.

Best of luck
George

WJ,

Do a backlink analysis on the 2 sites that do have some backlinks going to it and take note of the anchor text and PR of those domain names. If they aren't using anchor text closely related, if not identical to your keyword then that top 10 is ranking purely from on-site SEO and internal links. I would jump on a keyword like that.

As an avid Samurai user myself, going on just the information provided I would say this is very doable.

Then again, if this keyword only has 25 exact searches a month, it is irrelevant.

Go for a challenge. Pr is not exactly a daunting factor in this case. Although they may a decent PR it does not mean with proper backlinking you couldn't take them. Hell I took out a pr3 for my most recent keyword. Just remember to go for it for the possibility of making $X,XXX a year off of it or more!

Let's see...$10 for a domain name. A day to write a few articles to post. A couple days to build backlinks. Wait 3 weeks and see....

Why are you asking instead of testing?

My keyboard wasn't letting me finish my message on that. I rarely spend any money at all. But in the spirit of building an empire, lately I have been spending some cash (5 bucks) on submitting to search directories as a base.

Have been using free hosting too but now I think I can move to a paid package.. also wait for dollar deals on domains, but I think I made a mistake in getting this domain with 1and1 (for 99 cents) I should have paid more and gotten it through Gdaddy.

I pound out 3 super nice articles and do all the optimizations myself of course. I do need to think about different bulk backlinks as bases to get them rolling.

I think I need to grab seNuke or Xrumer maybe* ....
