BMR gets my vote, never had one single issue.

I use both. I think the big advantage of BMR is the index rate is near 100%. But it's tough to beat AMR for sheer volume. I build links to a lot of pages and a lot of keywords, use both extensively, and honestly have no desire to choose.

The disadvantages of BMR are the monthly fee, and the fact that you have to generate a lot of content. However, if you're smart about it you can take 4 or 5 posts of BMR, spin em up and submit to AMR.

What's best, apples or oranges?

In my opinion, both are best as they are different tools and can be used to complement each other.

Another vote for both. They are very different.

If I had to pick one though, it would be BMR or something similar by a mile.

when you compare the prices, AMR is a clear winner. And if you know how to properly use AMR, you can make your site sitting on top.

I've been using AMR and it has no monthly fee - the thing's replaced a lot of my former monthly services like UAW and ArticleRanks, though both those services still work fine (I pay as I go with ArticleRanks, sometimes pay to submit UAW but not so much these days).

The reason I've not used BMR (though I'll be testing it in a short while for a month) is that it requires constant writing, whereas what you get with AMR is spin/submit to the full list and rank away (despite what some would have you believe, it works).

The benefit is simply having no monthly fee and ranking with AMR and using 1 or 2 spun articles (depending on your KW's)...compared to hashing out 150 words a time per link, I could write one spun article and get hundreds of links.

Combine AMR with the Indexing Tool plugin and you're good to go.

SO it depends on your budget: AMR is the clear winner there. But BMR works like crazy according to its users - so why not both? They publish links to 2 different types of targets, so if you can get both, do it.
