Default Best way for a complete newbie - adsense?

Hi. I am a complete newbie, no websites, no product, no anything at the moment.... Is it realistic to think I can start a business by using adsense and start a business today and is this a sensible way to go? It is a minefield of information - I don't even know where to start? I have the time and will be devoted (although not flush with a LOT of cash, I do have some start up money), I just need pointing in the right direction on how to start, steps and training on how to do this. (I have read many posts on forum and adsense seemed to be way to get started with IM - am I right here?)

Thank you for any advise, tips, and so forth you may be able to give a dedicated, although slightly bewildered newbie!

I am afraid you'll have to learn a lot before you actually start making money online. Because success is not such easy in this online world without proper guidance. Talking about your question, Adsense is contextual advertising which cannot be done without a website or a blog or a third-party hosting sites hubpages that show your content and would split your adsense revenue. Either you write a blog or host a website, then show adsense ads and keep all revenue... write something on hubpages, etc. and split your revenue. Hubpages takes care of all promotion and brings traffic for your content with ads.
The other way is to buy an already established website that is already making money every month. All setup and ready to make you money. But you need to do good research before you invest your hard earned money, because there are a lot of scammers who could sell you a site with fake credentials that actually makes no money.

I think the best way is to create and work on 1 website. Preferably with Wordpress.

I would suggest you create a website on a topic you are passionate about. Start with 3 or 4 pages of content and then add a page or two weekly. Your best bet to gain experience and for its effectiveness is to go the SEO route. If I were you, I would purchase a domain name that fits the concept of the site that you are creating. Contrary to popular belief, your purchased domain does not have to match your keyword exactly. But when you create each page, the permalink should include whatever keyword you intend to rank for. There are some on-page factors you will have to follow. The main ones are keyword in the URL, title tag, h1 tag and your keyword in the page description. Then you will need to send some backlinks to the site. There are a number of places that provide backlinks for relatively inexpensive rates. I offer a backlink service that works well for new sites but you can literally start by manually creating blog comments yourself. My main suggestion is to take action and just don't sit back thinking about what might or might not work. You will learn more and find more success by doing something. If you fail, lick your wounds and do something else. You will make money much sooner this way.

I'll mention 4 things I'd highly recommend you consider...

1. Fatcat Adsense Blueprint - Great guide on creating microsites for Adsense. Perfect for a newbie.

2. Adsense 100K Blueprint - Another great step-by-step guide with a great forum. Adam and Michael are extremely involved and helpful. Creating deeper, broader, and higher profit Adsense sites.

3. XFactor (John) - Adsense Authority Site Guide - Great information on throwing half of what you learned out the door and chasing high profit large authority sites.

4. Adsense Flippers - A couple crazy guys who are making Adsense sites very fast. Very low profit sites in general, but flipping them in groups on Flippa for good profits.

Choose one of those guides, buy it, follow it, work hard...

Which one do I recommend? ALL OF THEM. If you read all of them you have a deep understanding of the variety of ways to make money with Adsense and it will help you make sense of all the numbers and potential in your keyword research. Just because the numbers don't add up to create a 100K Blueprint site does not mean it cannot work for a lower profit higher volume site like FatCat or Adsense Flippers.

If I had to buy just 1 to get started, I'd buy the 100K Blueprint. Largely due to the quality of the forum.

Last note: Start going through the Adsense Academy on Google.

I can tell you what not to do: Don't buy any product or any coaching without coming here first and checking it out. And the the e-books and video courses you can get from the folks in here are ten times better and usually costs ten times less than the stuff you will start getting tons of emails about. Don't fall for the big profits and easy money of the wonder-gurus.....like I did.

I'd say Adsense and/or affiliate marketing. I started with those and still utilize them today. Either way, whether you start in Adsense, aff marketing, offline, etc., I'd recommend you look into the Clickbump Bundle from Scott Blanchard and Keyword Sniper Pro 2.0 from Jack Duncan. These will prove to be invaluable tools for virtually any internet-based business model.

Design quality site, articles, and back links. Take your time. Study everything and dont settle for the first thing you read. Try it all, learn, and use your own method as well.

Hey Barry...thanks for the mention! You rock!

I learned a lot from reading through the (free but LONG) Xfactor thread here on the WarriorForum. One of my very few purchases was his guide to authority sites...and I've used a bit of that as we're testing out a few authority sites now ourselves. I can't speak to the other two courses as I haven't seen or used them, but both have good mentions here on the WF from other warriors.

We give away quite a bit of information at AdSenseFlippers.com, but it's a bit hard to go through and not as well laid out as we'd like....working on that. For some GREAT information from a "competitor" of ours definitely check out Spencer at Niche Pursuits. His info is much more rounded out and he has a ton of useful content. Here's a great place to get started:

You have a long road ahead which will be worth it in the end.
Think about it this way for a moment, you are about to learn a new skill which you will teach yourself with lots of advice in here and online available.
Inevitably an investment is needed up front for a product that you choose after research and deciding how you will make money online.
Check out my site where I review some of the ways to make money. This will give you a start and hopefully help with your choice.
As for adsense I suggest you search around google to find out more.
Hope this helps.

Keep an eye out for a forthcoming WSO called 'Easy Adsense Profits'. I read and reviewed an advance copy this week and it's by far the easiest eBook I've read on the subject.

Perfect for newbies and the resources Lucas tends to use are mainly free. You'll still need to buy a domain and hosting for your first site, but that's going to cost no more than $25 for the first month.

Good luck!

If you like writing or don't mind doing it, then adsense is a good choice. I would also go the authority site route and John, xfactor has a great course and also is doing a "live" case study where he shows everything he is doing to build one of these sites and take it to making $100 a day.
