My Squidoo lens has been put in the search engines.

I am very happy today as I have been working hard on a squidoo lens. Just had a look to see if any progress has been made and guess what it has. My squidoo lens is getting promoted outside of squidoo and now been put in the search engines to keep on getting ranked. Hopefully there should be enough traffic that will hopefully generate my affiliate sales.

I wrote all the content myself as I did not want it to be a copy and paste job. I am taking this work seriously so I think I will be creating a squidoo lens per day and see what comes out of it.

I have also landed a contract for article freelancing where I am writing 10 - 15 articles per week. This will pay of my bills as I am only living with parents, but every penny counts. Plus anything that I make from my squidoo lens will be a bonus.

Can't wait for what the future will bring.

Does your lens or lenses lend themselves to continually updated content, as well? One thing I always liked about Squidoo's system is that it make user's content subject to an internal ranking system devised to motivate and incentivize people to provide more content, while continually updating old content in a manner that 'appears' to be favored by Google.

On a side note, don't underestimate the value of utilizing modules that do just that--stimulate interaction from users...causing lens freshness...that you don't actually have to provide yourself IF you can structure your lens to elicit debate/interaction.

Although I haven't updated it in almost a year, I used a duel module on my Facebook lens to simply ask people if they preferred MySpace or Facebook. So far, the module has almost 350 responses....with each response, and me approving a comment, I found that my lens at least did better with regards to Squidoo's own internal ranking system. There are many tricks and tips around utilizing the right modules to get people to do the 'updating' work for you.

Including an RSS feed should keep the content fresh also.

submit original rich content in squioo lens will definitely be linked by google,.so your article will rank higher in google.maybe you can add some the blog rss feed for your page updated regularly.

Congrats for you. But if I may suggest, don't rely on squidoo alone, do another method. From my experience, 1 article on squidoo got me 10-20 clicks on my affiliate link.

My team will use a Squidoo lens for each article we do and for SEO purposes. It doubles your rankings for the same amount of effort!

If you're serious about internet marketing, Squidoo is a great place to start learning. But I advise that once you learn the basics, you start moving off to hosting your own sites, and use Squidoo as a way to create leads to your own sites.

IMO, it's best not to have all your efforts on a property that you don't own.

There are always pros and cons to using a site you don't own. It's important for everyone to evaluate, for themselves and for their businesses, if it is WORTH it to them. Where you give up a degree of control of content, sites like Squidoo can offer huge search engine authority--and the ability to catapult your content, near instantaneously off that authority, if done right.

I'd encourage others to use it as a viable piece of an overall online diversification strategy. Use it in conjunction with your own properties.
