Should I wait before adding adsense to a site?

Hi all,

I have a domain which I've owned for about a year but have until now just been sitting on it without seriously trying to rank for anything. I had a blog installed on the subdomain and put some content up but none of it ever really ranked.

Last week I deleted the blog at the subdomain and installed a new blog at the root. I added some content targeting my primary keyword, of which my domain is an exact match, and I see that I am already ranking on the first page of Google which I was both happy and surprised to discover!

Anyway, my question is, should I wait before putting adsense on the site? Or can I just go ahead and plant it??

I`ve got Adsense approval recently by applying with a 3-day-old blog placed on the new domain (1 week old maybe). Blog had 5 posts with unique content, contact form, about us and privacy policy pages. So there is really no need to wait - if your site and content are good you will be ok with getting your Adsense approval. Good luck!

Yeah, just to clarify, I've had an Adsense account approved for about 1 month.. My question was more directed at whether or not I should add Adsense code to my site, because I am aware that Google does not like 'made for Adsense' sites, so it might get its nickers in a knot when it sees that someone builds a site and then a day later he's trying to capitalize on the Adsense.

Yes agreed, no reason to wait any longer. Just put the Adsense codes NOW and start earning to capitalize on your first page of Google.

Waiting for what?

When do you want to earn money, now or later?

Your site gets crawled by the adsense bot. One more reason
to add it ASAP. The adsense bot is queried as well as the regular
search bot results. This is very advantages for adsense sites.

The sooner you add, the sooner you get crawled. The sooner
you start to get crawled, the sooner google can start
optimizing ads to show.

So, there is absolutely no reason to wait.

EXCEPT...for a site that is under construction. Obviously
under construction. Like putting up a sign...

Someone got a site banned and they asked why, all they had
was some content and a "Under Construction" sign on it.

Go figure...

If you not spamming other site to get your site ranked in google then add it now but if not then I recommend you to add once you get ranked. You don't want stranger that find your website in spammy website clicking your ads like crazy, do you?
