Hi guys, i saw this keyword last 2 weeks ago in which it has a 14,800 exact Global monthly searches. So, i created a site with that keyword. Now, i am in Page 1 of google but it has no traffic. I also looked at the Google Insights and Google trends but it doest have that much search result. I doubled check the keywords at Google Adwords Keywords Tool and it does have 14,800 exact. So is it possible that that keyword really doesnt have that much traffic? Or GKT have a glitch? |

I am going to assume that you aren't #6. You are looking at personalized results in your own browser. Try out market samurai for free and you'll see where you really rank. You are only #6 on your computer.

| I'm not sure about this. What I'm sure about is rank out of #3, even on first page, you won't get many traffic, unless it's a really highly competitive keyword. And next time when you do keyword research work, try check the search volume with different tools, that will be better.

You should look at the exact local instead of global as that will give you a better idea of how much traffic you could expect.

The exact local search is not that big but the Global is really is 14800. I saw my competitor at now 5million Alexa rank. So it means it really has traffic. But im #5 at that keyword but i have no traffic!!! | |

| If local search is very low and you're ranked for local, that's probably why right there. You may not ranked that high for non-local results.

Yep. Look at local. Im from U.S. So look at local when doing KW research because that is the number of searches your getting local(your countries) google SE. Global would do me no good.

You will have to check how many exact searches in local area you want to target. You should get the targeted traffic with ranking up to 3,2,1 to attract more visitors. of course, you should set up your title and description well to get a better promotion.

I once picked up a domain that Google showed as having 14,800 exact searches. In 2-3 weeks, I ranked number 1 for it. Guess what? I got 5-10 visitors per day. The keyword numbers are not really accurate. I ended up selling the blog for 300 bucks. It wasn't worth keeping.
