Wierd thing about links

I paid to some "company" to build me links, .edu .gov blabla 35 links.
They did it (85%) was succsesfull after I checked them using the link checker and also manually entered each link.

Now whats wierd is that i checked this sites with some of those "backlinks" checkers, and also yahoo site explorer and I can't see this links? why is that?

BTW i checked the links and almost all of them are DoFollow...
Any ideas? (links build more then 8 days ago and pinged)

Not all backlinks are shown in backlink checkers or the yahoo SE. They still count though so don't worry. As a ballmark figure I think only about 50-60% are shown

Sometimes backlinks checker tools fail to provide proper backlink profile reports. If you were able to verify it manually, that your link is indeed posted on those links they (the company you hire) deliver, then you're all good. It may take some time before search engines pick them up and count as your back links.

If you found most of them, there is no problem. That's
what you paid for.

You did NOT pay for links that will be sure to work, are recognized
by google, yahoo, now or ever.

Google never shows them all, nor do they say they will count
every one.

I think you are mixing up buying links and buying links that
will affect SEO right away, (if ever). You appear to have
wanted the latter.

That's money I would never have spent.
