Hey guys I wanted to see how ppc is doing these days with anybody. I used to do it quite a bit before and it was pretty easy. This was about 3 years ago. It worked ok then but I wasn't as educated about smart internet marketing. You know,, back then I would throw up anything and promote anything. Now a days,, I take my time, do my research, and promote the "smart" way,,,, ok,,, well,, a lil smarter than before. But,, I recently went to adwords to do an ad campaign or 2,, (or 5-10) and it just isn't the same. Man,, i got denied every time. Wrong ads, wrong landing page,, I couldn't do anything right. How does one do ppc today? Are there any GOOD courses or training that will help or is it a lost cause and should be forgotten for the affiliate marketer? Who has the sneaky sneaky way to get around all the Google slaps? My a$$ is starting to hurt. Show me the rightious path to fulfilling my PPC desire. Robert X |

There's always room for success in PPC My advice is just to do your testing BEFORE you start the PPC campaign... do split testing, get your conversion rates up, make sure everything's perfect. Testing in PPC can be costly, I've found a lot more success when a page is ready to go and doesn't need me to invest $500 in clicks to see what works and what doesn't. |

Best way to have success with Adwords is to be the product owner. It's very difficult for affiliates these days on Adwords. If you're the actual product owner though it's much easier to make money.

Robert - You can still have great success with PPC (Adwords) but the game is completely different. Anything that looks, smells, sounds like "marketing" is going to cause you problems. The focus has to be on providing the searcher with exactly what it is they're looking for. On Adwords, I tell people to forget *everything* they know and especially don't do anything you've ever learned at a pitchfest-style live event. The biggest challenge is turning off the old paradigm and learning to do things the new way. It's (far) more work but the competition is nil in a lot of places. All the best to you - X |

| PPC is fine and probably still one of the most effective ways of driving highly targeted traffic to a website. You just have to make sure you have a genuine product or service to offer, then just keep testing and keep optimizing your campaigns. I get what the guy above is saying - but don't be afraid to market things on adwords. Adwords is made for just that. Advertising and marketing! |
