I am buying a website and the guy is using his personal gmail account for his affiliates/adsense account of the website. How can I take over his adsense/affiliate account without taking over his personal gmail account? The reason I want to do that (instead of creating new account) is because getting approved for all those affiliates could take some time, and may never happen. Any help will be appreciated. thanks |

For adsense you just need to get your own account and use a search/replace to put in your links in place of the previous ones. For the affiliate programs, just create a new email on the domain you're buying, and most affiliate accounts allow you to change/update email address. You'll probably be updating the payment information anyway. |

You should be able to just replace his code with yours.....go into the html code of the website and where the google adsense code is, highlight it, delete it and just past yours in assuming you have an adsense account

I don't think you're allowed to. Something about the tax money being linked to the account.

So does that mean that I should not change taxid in commission junction's account? because then I will be liable for all the tax on the money that they made in first 9-10 months?

You can never takeover his adsense account as the account is registered and locked under his name. You can hack into his account or whatever but the cheque payment will be paying to his name somehow. It's best to register a new adsense account. If you are finding hard time registering, then pay $5 to Fiverr and get someone register it for you. =) |
