Ok so... Yay or Nay?

I've been working on a big ticket item site making a few dollars on adsence but nothing too great...yet! I built up the backlinking manually then later used a few fiverr gigs for a few PR backlinks,bookmarks...etc.

I recently started 3 more sites with unique SEO content and no products on there, any way...my question is... Should I start building manual backlinks and PR stuff like I did for my first site or just get a couple fiver gigs and do it that way? I would like to get the site noticed quick so.... Would google slap for that?...or will it be fine?...any info would be great, thanks!
