Looking for some opinions on how a site is ranking #1. I am working on a client for the keyword: las vegas bail bonds. If you search las vegas bail bonds in G the top result should be 1 organic listing above the 7 pack. I do not want to put the url up because I do not want to give a free backlink. ![]() Can anyone tell me how a site with 50-60 backlinks that is using frames and the content is minimal is a solid #1? Thanks much! -Scott |

Well, if it's the site I saw on top, they have the exact keyword in their domain. That, along with onsite SEO, has been enough for me to get sites on the first page for long tail KWs. Should be easy to beat them though.

| You might be seeing 50 - 60 backlinks but that doesn't mean that this is actually how many there are and you might not know how good the links are. I've seen a few good backlinks firmly plant a site in the #1 spot for a keyword.

Considering they have a radio show and appear to have built a name for themselves up over the years I am not surprised. This is the kind of company that would get links from news sites and other high value links. And I doubt there are just 60 back links. A company with 60 back links would not normally have a radio show and appear to be dominate in their market.
