I have started my own blog for a few months and I did not do keyword research on all my post. I just write down what i have learnt from other mentors. Am i doing this correctly?Because it will be very hard for me to do keyword research on every of my posts as I do not know what keyword are really suitable for me to use.I am only aware that low competition and high searches is what i should find in a good keyword. |

Well, Keyword research is necessary. for a starter, you may not do it for all posts but do it at least for 3 posts a week. low competition and high searches are good markers for beginners, but if you want to add more precision power then add intitle, inanchor and inurl searches in Google. But before you do all this. Think of the central theme on which you are going to write (one or 2 words), use it as a base keyword and then do the research. You can also try this way: First right the blog post then write a summary of it. From these two you will get an idea of the central theme you just wrote about. do the keyword research using those words as base keywords, and from the list that you get, use the ones that fits the bill. You may have to do some structure changes in the blog post, but that will worth the effort. These are the two ways in which you can do a keyword research, which is must if you want to be seen in the search engines, or even on social sites Quote:

Aren't you supposed to pick a topic before you start a blog? What's your blog on, anything and everything? That's crazy. What are you going to do, find a different keyword for each post? I have no idea what you are trying to do. And what, pray tell, does this have to do with adwords?!?!?!?! If you slap yourself back to earth, maybe you will focus. Paul |

I think you should set up the keywords which describe most of your blog post as mate to rank..After you confirm the meta keywords, title, you should build the quality backlinks for the keywords.just do it everyday, you will get a good SERP result.
