All in One SEO Broken?

I'm using the "All in One SEO" plugin in Wordpress. I noticed that the description in Google is only reading the first text on my page, not the description I set up in the SEO plugin. I clicked on the support link and it brought me to a forum called Semper Fi Web Design.

I saw many others with the same complaint on their forums and they aren't answering anyone.

Does anyone know if this plugin is broke, and if so, can you recommend another?

Sorry about the trouble you are having.

Absolutely, I know of a good replacement for that plugin. It's called Platinum SEO. It's available inside of Wordpress too which makes it easy to install.

I use it on all of my blogs and I really like it.

I'm a fan of WordPress SEO Plugin - Search Engine Optimization Plugin - Yoast and after using it, I think it's better than All-In-One, anyway.

I used to use All in one SEO but can attest to all the other mentions in this post as better alternatives.

Not sure, but when it comes to free WP plugins "SEO Ultimate" was pretty decent last time I checked, maybe give that a go in the meantime till the all-in-one gets fixed.

Thanks for the feedback. Does anyone know if I change to a new plugin like Wordpress SEO, will it automatically update Google with the new optimized pages?

Google will sometimes ignore the meta description if it thinks there is more relevant text on the page.

I've been having trouble with it for a while. Use SEO Ultimate it's a much better all round plugin.

If you switch to WP SEO (which is pretty good BTW) use the SEO Data Transporter plugin to transfer data from All in One SEO to WP SEO.

Maverick gave you the right answer.

It has nothing to do with the plugin and everything to do with Google. Google will not always use your meta description. It's just the way it is. You can use any other plugin you want. Won't make a difference.
