I want to put my site to google Local Listing for free?
Any one know how to list it?

All keywords shows local business listings and competition is a bit diffculy as only few listings comes up in Google listings above organic keyword rankings. Various steps are required while verifying ownership of business over Google.com as Google verify ownership using phone verification , Name vertification or by sending postcard on business address with 5 digit verification code.

Google local listings can be defined as the business listings in the map that we usually see at the top or at the middle of the Google first page results. These local search results are different from the organic results.


For submitting you listing you first need to open an account in the Google Local Business Center and then fill out the required information. If your business is already listed and you don’t have to access it, claim it and verify it. This provides authority to your profile.

Not to make this too complicated, but you have to keep in mind that Google looks for validation of your address from other websites too....these are called "Citations".

My point being that while it may seem easy to only go to Google to list your business, you will need to consider getting your business onto other websites that include Search Engines, Social Communities, 411 websites, GPS websites and Business directories.

When posting your information be sure to be exact from when website to another. Any variations or typos will cause search engines to not be able to verify the information. Consistency is needed.

The industry area of Geographic Marketing has been growing, evolving and maturing since 2007 and more so in the past two years. There are many parts to the puzzle and getting your local listing(s) in order at multiple websites is a good starting point.
