I have a keyword rich domain. .net and .com for this keyword rich domain have already been availed by a reputed company. When i enter this domain with .net and .com. It redirects to another page which is company's home page. Is there a chance that i can top on google with this keyword? Can i beat a pagerank 7 webpage?

I doubt you could rank higher than a PR7 page especially if it is optimized for the keyword. But remember there are 10 spots on first space. If people aren't looking for the official company page then they'll just ignore the result anyway. If it isn't optimized, it'll still be hard, but possibly doable if you work hard enough. I'm guessing you have the .org domain for it? or .info? |

I dont think if the page is well optimized for keyword. As i told you that it redirects to another site. I'll be going for .info. |

Just one advice, if you want to buy that domain for targeting keywords then drop the idea. On the other hand, if that domain will help you in branding your website then go for it. To cut the story short... Use your domain name for branding yourself not for keyword targeting. There are several other ways to target keywords. |

Second, to see if that page is optimized for your keyword use a meta checker tool. I recomand seocentro.com meta checker tool but you can google it and chose what you think it's best for you. | |

Hello, I have gone through your problem and as per my view its not just hard but harder to beat site having 7 PR and also used keyword in domain name. You have to work very hard to optimize your website along with some good logic, it will take some time but if put your full efforts then you can possibly beat then and push them back in SERP, as I said it is harder but not impossible. Firstly you just work out some analysis of your competitors and then put your efforts in full. |

PR7 is very unusual to see How many backlinks does the domain have? How old is their domain is the kw in their title? header? description? Normally I would say it would be possible to outrank them but with high of a PR it will be difficult, |

If the page is an authority in that market it would be extremely hard to outrank them. But there are other spots on 1st page, wouldn't you be satisfied with 2nd? |
