Default AdWords - AdSense rules question

I understand that you can't use AdWords to drive traffic to your AdSense pages, or is it sites? I was wondering if you can send the traffic to the home page where there is no AdSense, if you have AdSense on your inner pages?

The home page would be directory of the articles with a snippet. To read the articles would require clicking on the link in the home page. There they would see AdSense ads and hopefully click on them from time to time.

I could not determine if this was ok to do from the TOS, so I am hoping that someone here can advise me. I have to leave in a few minutes and will be gone for a few hours. So I can't respond to any posts for about five hours or so.
