That weight loss site is now number 1, the new domain with so many strong backlinks and yes it has amazing backlinks, wonder how they got so many of them at first when I checked on that site with Market Samurai I said ah they dropped out of the rankings then i realized they are number one now btw thats with only 22 indexed pages www.hereshowtoloseweightfast.com so I guess this is a lesson for all of us Its all about the backlinks, apparently Domain Age? not important btw that new site is now a PR6 |

False. You are missing a big piece of the puzzle. They have a PR 6 domain:kanyadatours.com 301'd to the new domain. This automatically gives the new domain PR/age/authority, thus the ability to rank high and fast.

People would be doing that left and right, I dont buy your explanation go check the PR of their backlinks they have TONS of high PR backlinks if it were as simple as you say, why go to all the trouble and expense? The backlink analyzer said they have 6 PR 6 backlinks, and about 35 PR 5 Backlinks, and a ton of the other PRs also

I'm not discounting the fact that he has a huge private blog network link profile. There is a reason he redirected that PR 6 domain. It's just one of the things he did to get the site #1. Btw, if the redirect part was easy, then everyone would be redirecting PR 6, 10 year old domains to their new domains. BRB, going to redirect a few PR 7's to my new domains. |

Here do the info check info:kanyadatours.com - Google Search See the difference in the domains listed and searched for. The PR 6 you are cooing about is from an aged domain. Besides two months is what it takes for a domain to age sufficiently. Google even made that slip and its been confirmed many times as roughly the time it takes. Even the new domain is two months old.

| Redirects are not automatically discounted by Google. There are some perfectly legit reasons to use a redirect.. Though the word fake has become popular you can use a redirected domain without any intent to fake. Really the only ones really faking PR are sellers of domains.

I give a rats behind of how he ranked number 1 on that term with a new domain. If the PR is unimportant, or if he can get a PR6 with a fake redirect, how does that affect his number 1 ranking, thats all that is important the guy implied that the redirect is the reason he is number 1, and I said why waste all the money on all the other backlinks then

Point is, how important is the redirect PR6 in his number one ranking If that is the reason he is number one (I highly doubt that) then why spend all the time and effort on all his other high PR backlinks. |

| Its all pretty simple. He used a high pr blog network and got rankings. Not that impressive really, pretty much back to the basics.

If you look at all his high PR backlinks, I dont think any blog network can provide that many certainly not BMR, perhaps he used many networks what networks can provide 35 PR5 Backlinks? and doesnt the PR disappear once the posts fall off the first page? |

and you are making up a strawman. No one said it was THE reason but that you were missing a part of the picture (which of course you were and still are) . A redirect conveys juice with it.

| The redirect won't give him the anchor text relevancy he needs to rank for a specific term. The redirect passes on the authority to the new site; it makes it more responsive to new keywords and content.

Outwest, have you determined all 14000 of those backlinks are high pr contextual links? They could be using a mixture of the HIGH PR (Exclusive network) or networks, something BMR or SEO link vine, blog commenting, etc. A combination of all of that could easily make up for the 14,000 backlinks plus the many high pr contextual links. |

Can the owner of the site just tell us exactly what he did to get his ranked #1? He's probably a member of WF.

Lol, I checked one of the backlinks on the site in OP, & it had that fake a#% looking javascript snow falling. I havn't seen that irritating crap since 1997. ![]() What's sad is it's running WP-3.2, who in their right mind takes the time to add javascript snow to a WP backlink network site in 2011? |

BTW, this thread will probably get canned like the others that out sites/networks. Some folks just have no sense of humor. |
