Default What Are The Best Web 2.0 Sites?

I have been trying to work with Web 2.0 to get free traffic to my site. These are the sources I have been using: Squidoo, Hubpages, Weebly, Wetpaint, Tumblr, Wordpress, Blogger

Are there any other sites that anyone would recommend? Or maybe you think the sites above aren't useful? I have just recently started implementing these strategies, and I would like to know what you guys think.

Need a sales letter? For the first time ever I'm taking on copywriting clients for a very low price.
PM me if interested.

Looks like a good list, you may want to check out Yahoo (Geocities and 360, two nice places to put content and links) as well.

Wordpress.com is great, although I wouldn't rely too much on them, they have the nasty habit to ban accounts and blogs with everything they consider commercial extremely fast. You can be lucky and nothing happens for years, but I have seen blogs with unique content gone just because of a few (like one per 300 word post) commercial site/affiliate links...but a nice addition for mini authority networks anyway, just be a bit careful with them.

The Real Thing -> ALN <- Links that Work!

Is Blogger likely to ban your account if you use it to make money - apart from Adsense, which they allow?

I have found Blogger bans accounts like crazy, so I don't rely too heavily on Blogger. I have found it helps to have less blogs per email account. If you have a hundred blogs under one email, you will most likely get them all banned, even if they all have great content, but if you only have 1 under each email, you are much less likely to get banned.

I also have 750-1500 word articles with only one affiliate link in the whole thing, so I am hoping I won't get banned from Wordpress or Blogger.

I will definitely check out Yahoo 360 and Geocities. Thanks for that.

How useful is Google Sites? I haven't used it yet, but I have heard it is good.

And yes krishananda, I will bookmark all my sites and pages.

Found extensive list of web2.0 sites from here:
Where is Your Username registered
and
Go2Web20.net - The complete Web 2.0 sites directory

Not sure which are the best, try to experiment.

I'm pretty sure all are useful if you mingle with other members there.

If you have the time, spread the promotion to as much sites as you can but do concentrate on few sites only, build your profiles there.

If you have enough man power, why not, do it on all sites
As I would say, do it like Obama

I am experimenting right now. I working on developing some software for myself that automates the process of building pages on some of the sites, so I can focus more on the ones where I can develop a profile on a few and really develop a couple of them. Squidoo and Hubpages are the ones I am focusing on the most. I am looking into outsourcing and getting a bunch of people to build a bunch of pages for me. I will continue to test and see what happens.

Seth Godin produced a massive list of 952 sites - also showing the traffic that each one receives.

You can check it out at my blog. It really is an awesome list and helps you to target the big ones !

I have a list of 20 different sites that I am using and testing right now. That list of 952 is completely overwhelming. And it is difficult to sort through and find out what each site is for. I have been looking for, but can't find, a list of sites that you can create pages on, sites that you can submit videos to, social bookmarking sites, etc.
