Default Freelance SEO vs. Professional SEO: Any Difference?

I noticed there are some highly rated SEO-type
services on Fiverr.com.

Some of these services will provide you with .gov and
.edu backlinks... some will build a link pyramid for you...
and others will send real human views and "Likes" to
your YouTube videos.

And while it seems that search engines would be smart
enough to flag these types of services, they are all very
highly rated
on Fiverr.com.

My questions are:

1) Are these types of "quickie" services really that
beneficial for SEO?

2) Should these services be used at all... and can they
be over-used? (Do the search engines eventually catch
on?)

3) Would I be better off hiring a "professional" SEO
company... or do the professional companies pretty
much do the exact same thing?

Note: A sampling of the services I am referring to can
be found here:

The quick fix method is not normally a good strategy in SEO. Sure these fiverr gigs might look good on the face of it but don't get sucked in by the blurb. If you like your chances take the risk but there are alot of horror stories from fiverr too. Eventually the engines will catch on to all these methods (if they havent allready). But then there will be more.

I personally stay away from this type of activity and concentrate on long term sustainable growth.

Bottom line is if it sounds too good to be true...

Well if SEO person is professional in his work so it doesn't matter for him to work freelance or at any place. He will give priority to his work for sure.

You might consider also that there are freelancers who are professional in SEO.

If SEO in competitive niches was really that easy that someone could afford to do it for $5, instead of offering their services, don't you think these people would be off dominating every niche they could?

There would be a lot more money in being #1 for a competitive niche than spamming websites for people in order to earn $5 a pop.

There are some services that can take 30sec to spit out a useful report. I don't see any harm in making a quick buck if it's that simple.

There is no difference between the two. There are many great SEO's that freelance themselves out. This type of work lends itself to that fairly easily. You should just make sure that check out who you are going to use to make sure that they can do the job that you are looking for.
