Squidoo Lens and Hub Pages Trick?

Guys I just wanna ask if are there some trick with squidoo lens and hub pages?

What are their importance when it comes to SEO?

Can you give additional information about those two?

What made Squidoo and Hubpages successful is that they do not allow duplicate content to get published and good informative lenses get appreciated and rank high in their lists. So the key for success at these sites is to create informative lenses and you can get decent amount of traffic and also links from these established lenses could be really worthy.

Search on squidoo itself and you'll get many tips for creating quality lenses and how to utilize them for link building and for traffic.

I use squidoo for backlinks and funneling traffic. But I have
been doing it for years and am a giant squid, had a lens
chosen lens of the day, etc.

But I can tell you this. The work has paid off in spades.

For me and my hundreds of lenses, I have a working backlink
farm and traffic funneler.

Many of my lenses rank #1 or near the top. I don't care that
they outrank my adsense pages at times. The traffic from
them is targeted and colored golden.

I don't do hub, so can't comment. I like squidoo for the ease and
profit sharing. I get paid for having backlinks! Life don't get
much better'n that!

The more you use squidoo, climb up the activity charts, build
more lenses, etc., the better. Their internal linking structure is
something to be imitated.

I've been using both squidoo and hubpages in tiered linking tactics, and have had positive results.

Both sites have pretty rigorous internal audits to make sure content isn't duplicate or 'overly promotional' which is probably the reason well-done hubs and lenses get so much traffic as Paul has pointed out. These sites also like to see updates to the respective properties, I think squidoo automatically un-publishes a lens that is ranked 400k or below.. doesn't mean the lens is deleted, just invisible to folks searching on squidoo.

Squidoo is a huge authority site, where you can create "lenses" (lens is a name for Squidoo page). You create a lens on a topic you need backlinks. Squidoo has several modules where you can include a link back to your site, article, etc. You will get do-follow links from your lens when your lens gets some comments. You also need to build more lenses, so Squidoo will not see you as a spammer. You will have unique lenses and very powerful backlinks to your site. Lenses ranks pretty well in the Search Engines. I get lots of organic traffic to my lenses. Some gets more than 200 visits per day. While you're building backlinks, you can also add money modules to your lenses and earn some money from Amazon, eBay, etc. Squidoo is very powerful tool for IM.

Does the number of words in a lens affect the quality of the backlinks you get from it? i.e. if you wrote a 1000 words lens, would the backlinks be more powerful than just from a 450 word lens.

I have also question about squidoo and hubs, also other article submissions. Basically If I write for example 5 different hubs and 5 different articles to article directory, then I only get 1 backlink from them? So what's the point of writing different articles to the same article directory. Could some one explain? My plan is to build backlinks not the informative article to get traffic from them.

@cooler1 - 450 word article is enough for a quality backlink. I think there isn't lot of difference, but if you have more words/text you will get more traffic to your lens, probably because of long tail keywords.

@MikeWike - no, you will get 5 backlinks from 5 hubs, the same goes for articles. But lots of backlinks from one domain is not so powerful as having lots of backlinks from several other domains (different IPs).

Squidoo is a huge and very lucrative site. It has been my secret weapon in terms of building backlinks. All you need to do is maintain a large collection of lenses and provide readers with decent information. Poof! It works like magic.

Why you want to build Squidoo, hubpages, Ezinearticles and any other blog platforms VS building your own domain?

I think faster ranking is the reason. These sites already had certain number of trust and is easier to get rank with less backlinks, although Google had treated them like new site everytime a new member created new pages, but still they are much prefer as compared to your own domain.

However, for long term result and benefits, I still prefer to build my own domain, that's why I only use web 2.0 sites for fast ranking of low competition keywords, if I am gonna build 20 properties, I am ready to rank these low competition keywords. Plus each property will link back to my money site.

One of the best practice to leverage these properties are building a lot of backlinks and boost those link juice back to my site - backlink boosting!

if your intention is to use squidoo And hub paes to create quality backlinks try linking from those hubpages back to squidoo and make sure your squidoo Lens uses good anchor text back to your money page.

both squidoo and hubpages are high authority web 2.o sites.
you can earn by both hubpage and squidoo. hubpage shares the google adsense money.
and requires gud and quality content other ur post can be deleted from hubpages.
