Default Backlinks...for your backlinks?

I am wondering if is necessary to build backlinks for your backlinks?I mean...if you write a topic in a forum...do you build backlinks for it?I saw in many sites or blogs that allow posting hundred of links in comments that more people do that. What do you think?

I normally don't backlink my backlinks, but as I am doing mainly commenting links these days, if I find a really high pr blog that I comment on, I'll make a little social bookmark backlink to it just to speed up indexing and get the link juice faster.

Haven't done that before, but many visitors left that kind of backlinks on my forum to promote their threads or blog articles which contain their website's link. And I think it's helpful to raise website's backlinks, I just don't have enough time to do that.

Backlinks to backlink works like a link pyramid. It helps to achieve better ranking especially when you have good tier 1 properties

People only need to backlink their backlinks when the backlinks are weak and low quality. I rarely have to backlink my backlinks

no, manual backlinking is tedious for me. Backlink to backlink without knowing that they will be indexed or not is worse..

Im happy though if my backlink provider do that

If you are building backlinks to your main site, then you really don't need to build back links to your other links, only if you are using a link wheel which should be constructed properly to augment the main site. If you do build it like that then you have to make sure your links are Dofollow.

It seems that if the pages you have links on are getting backlinks to them, then those pages will certainly appear to have more value, thus adding value to the links on those pages. That just makes sense.

It's a very, very common practice. Most people will have multiple tiers of backlinks. 2, 3, even 4. The backlinks that point directly to your main site should be the highest quality possible. The links that link to those, and so on, can be lower quality.

Can make your head spin if you're new to the process.

I haven't figure it out, so I'm a bit random. I link to articles and other things that link to my site. And I also link directly to my site. And I like to my other websites, which link to my main site. I'm thinking that it's random enough that Google isn't going to pick up on a pattern, because there isn't one. I'm not clever enough to do it with a specific pattern.

My current experience is that nothing is working. I've been doing everything I've read about for over a year and my rankings haven't moved at all. I've got backlinks, bookmarking, article submissions (of good articles), .edu wiki posts, forum links, blog posts, fresh content, forum profiles, you name it. And I've made zero progress in my rankings. I have twitter and FB which are updated regularly, I send regular mailings to my large mailing list, created customized RSS feeds (which I submitted to the directories) and a lot more stuff. I've been doing it for a year and a half, at least (a truly concentrated effort at SEO) and I've been at #7 pretty much the whole time. I had slipped to #8, which started my big push and I went back to #7, but haven't moved. So, mostly I'm thinking that nothing works. The only thing I don't have is PPC with google because I can't afford it. Otherwise, I can't think of much I haven't tried and it's getting me absolutely nowhere. Yet, I keep trying.

Exactly what Clyde said, the best use is to index your backlinks and build a little more "value" to them. Other than that, its a waste of time.

My recommendations, don't waste your time building links to your links by hand. There are a lot of services that you can utilize for this purpose on Fiverr, use them instead.

Pointless? How did you come to that conclusion? With a few minutes work you can turn a low quality link in to a PR 3 link. Plus it helps make your backlink profile look much more natural.

How many websites do you know that have only tier 1 backlinks? I get linked to from websites like Nokia, which in turn have backlinks pointing to that article - than what you call natural. 40+ backlinks that have not a single backlink to them themselves? Dodgey.

Backlinks to your backlinks is good but I preffer to spend my time building backlinks just to my sites and then index them. I've heard about backlink piramid but I never tryed it, I've heard that it's efective but I don't have the time for it.

Building backlinks to your "backlinks" would not hurt your site, but with everyone talking about backlinks who is ranking on the first page for their keywords? I don't build back links to my backlinks and link to this and link to that, but the bottom line is who is ranking in the serps for their keywords and what has proven to be effective? The best backlink to have is a contextual backlink to your site.

Link pyramids definitely work from my experience. However, it shouldn't have much effect if the backlinks to your site are already high PR.
