Akismet URL ban...

Hello all

I went through several post on this forum but couldn't find a final answer to my question: If akismet banned/blocked my URL - is there a way to release it from the ban?

Well if you haven't being spamming up blogs then you can contact akismet and request them to remove the ban

Couldn't you just use a url shortner such as bit.ly to put as your url instead?

hey cooler1, i tested you solution on another blog of mine and it passed the spam checker

but - does it count as a regular link/backlink to the original URL, or does google treats it in some kind of other way or a black hat method?

But in my experience, if you're banned for spam then there's not much hope that you'll be reinstated (after all, they're an anti-spam service; if you were spamming, they aren't going to be doing you any favour, unfortunately)
