Keyword Analysis for my website

Dear SEO Experts,

I've a website schoolib.com, which mainly provides the schools information, parents reviews and ranking. However, all these keywords highly competitive e.g. school, review, ratings.

Can you suggest the methodology to research the keywords to target initially, where I can get high rank. Also if possible, please provide some sample keywords and tools.

Whew, it's a very long process for such broad keywords. You can just search for more specific keywords and build a list of sites like that.

You can always use google keyword tool to get more long tail related keywords. It's not so hard as You might think just use [exact] searches.

Another way to find keywords is to find what other keywords are your competitors targeting. you can check meta tags on their sites or use some software like 'Web content Studio" (there are probably much better tools than this for this purpose but this is the only one I have used), this is mainly for article writers but can also be used to find keywords in competing sites.

Once You have gathered list of related keywords check googles keyword tool if they could bring You enough traffic and check top pages for those keywords, if You can outrank them.

I do this

first you must go to google and enter "how to find a niche" and "how to analyze top 10 competition on google"

Basically once you decide on the niche, then the ONLY competition that matters
is the top 10 on google

guys will tell you , you can analyze Google top 10 for free with SEOquake

You might be able to but for me I use Market Samurai for that

Truly kw research is not something you can learn in a few days, it takes at least a week of researching google, watching videos on youtube helps A LOT much easier than reading IMO

IMO if you use only free tools you are spinning your wheels
Market Samurai seems to be the most popular tool and its 97 dollars

to me its like sitting in the cockpit of a jet, all the tools I have when I use Market Samurai. But I use it 99 percent for analyzing the top 10 competition on google

I use Free google adwords tool to research the actual keywords

Go to Youtube, go spend hours watching videos about kw research, and about how to use market samurai. IMO thats the only way to learn

you cant learn that on a forum, it takes too long to explain and you have to see it in action not typed on a page, thats why I like watching youtube vids

I probably watched 20 hours of youtube vids on kw research and Market Samurai
you dont have to watch that much but those vids REALLY walk you through the whole process, even better than reading websites, after awhile you become almost an expert

True. Why don't you try and find videos that will take you step by step through the whole process because it is a tedious work...

Keyword research for effective SEO results needs a lot of patience and intelligent calculations. Above all you should be using the best possible tools to perform keyword research for a strong search engine optimization.

Btw with Google Keyword Tool, Google Insight and Google Suggestions, you will get the exact number of monthly searches on Google Keyword Tool.

Also this is my advice, ignore people who say you can do kw research for free

NOBODY who is a serious webmaster uses only free tools, they all own paid tools also

because the paid tools save time, and time is money

Just yesterday I bet I analyzed 200 kws on Google top 10 competition with Market Samurai

most of the searches take me about 30 seconds
I stop the search when I start to see RED on the BLP (backlinks to the page) column, and see backlinks numbers like 1000,2000,5000, 30,000 etc which happens so often

if I did this for "free" with free tools, I bet I could have done maybe 10 kws yesterday and it would have taken me 20 -30 mins for each kw

Firstly you can school related site in Google after that collect the keyword which other used and after that those keyword check in Google keyword addons.
