I think I know why Adsense doesn't post relevant ads.

I use google chrome and notice that Adsense unit will sometimes show the advertise that relevant to what I recently search on Google even though it doesn't relate on a site contextual.

example, I have a site is about classic car but before I access to this site I did search about "Samsung smart phone" so ads unit in my classic car site will show both classic car ads and smart phone ads. and this how Adsense integrate to google engine.

Your site doesn't have too much of relevent ads because buyers aren't investing their money on your site IF it's not rank 1-3 on google which plays a big role. In addition, make sure your keywords are targeted.

I look at it this way.

Let's assume you live in a city. Therefore there are more billboards, but they cost more. Therefore you'll have more relevant ads with higher pay (contextual ads)

Then let's assume you live in the dessert. There are less billboards, and probably cost less cause there's LESS TRAFFIC/people. Therefore you have lesser relevant ads, because no one goes to your page so it's a waste to have their ads on your site.


So yeah 2 things. If there's not enough traffic/rank 1-3 on google then you have lesser relevant ads. And your keywords.

I have also noticed that I see adds for things that I have been looking at recently. Google is always following you and is trying to match up the ads to your interests.

I think Adsense announced this a few months ago.
