High Bounce Rate need some help

Hey everyone I have a "how to dating site" with a high bounce rate of 82% and an avg time of 32 seconds with 9 different articles/keywords on the site.

I get about 60 unique visitors a day with different keywords and I'm just running on adsense.

Can someone review my site for me? I'll send you the link, and more details through PM and tell me what I can do to fix that.

If your bounce rate is high that means your content on your page sucks and they click back. If your homepage content is really good then a person will click on other pages and stay longer. I would make a longer homepage with better content and have more pages on your site with better content that they will want to check out.

Not necessarily, you could have really good on page content for the home page but that's all information the visitors are looking for.

What I would suggest is actually to reduce the content of your homepage if you have a lot. And then have links in several places to a separate page where they can find something else they want. Like the first page will talk about an overview of dating, and then another page will have say a "top 10 tips for dating"

My bounce rates are very low, and I use this exact trick.

- Good Web Layout and Design
- Relevant Content
- Good and Original Content
- Avoid Distractions
- Improve loading speed
- Add Relevant Images

Did your content answers the concerns behind the keywords it is getting traffic from? If the answer is no, then that is the problem. Keyword vs. Landing page mismatch. If the answer is yes, your content might be to short and only takes the seconds in the log to read the totality. Also, there might have been no highly relevant links to other pages within the site that would visitors click through after reading.

There could be a lot of reasons, but sometimes high bounce rate can mean good for a page and business. (like after 5 seconds from landing the visitor clicks your ads - it's bounce rate, but good)
