I dont really like the tutorials that MS has, the video ones Just go to youtube and enter Market samurai tutorial there are tons of 10 min videos , and after watching those for a few hours you will become an expert My advice? do not use MS for searching kws, its too slow for that use Google Adwords KWT For that, its VERY fast Use Market Samurai for searching SEO top 10 competition search on Youtube for "market Samurai analyze top 10 on google".........go watch the youtube vids on that, its easy to get MS to pull up the SEO analysis for the top 10 on Google The trick is learning what those numbers mean what is important and what is not that important Here is what I know so far (when viewing top 10 competition on SEO function on Market Samurai) 1. look for top 10 sites with low BLP, (backlinks to the page) (a few hudred would be ideal) 2. look for kws with competition that has lower PR showing (PR4 or less is better) 3. Look for kws that pull up a lot of sites with N N N N on the Onpage SEO factors (kw in url, title, header, and description) this means that this site is NOT optimized for that kw , and will be much easier to outrank What doesnt matter that much? 1. domain age (new domains can easily outrank older ones, given other factors 2, Backlinks to the domain (BLD) doesnt matter that much, since google does not rank sites, it ranks pages. Backlinks to the page are all that matters (assuming the root domain is not being displayed) 3. DMOZ AND YHOO, (listing in these directories is not that important) What do I leave Checked? and Look for? Most Important that I leaved checked is 1. PR 2. BLP (backlinks to the Page) 3. DA (domain age I just like to see this ) 4. Onpage SEO columns (url, desc, head, title), these are very important, and will tell you if that site is optimized for your kws This SEO top 10 analysis comes up very fast in Market Samurai (like 30 seconds) (unlike kws searching which takes forever) Thats why I use Google KWT for kw searching, since its lightening fast The Top 10 Google competition is CRITICAL to know your competition, and IMO you cant do this without a tool like Market samurai (for "free") Guys say, oh I can see the PR, and backlinks , etc etc on SEOquake for free true, you can but You Cannot see the onpage SEO factors of the top 10 sites (at one glance) and to do this you would have to open each top 10 site, and check the url in the title description, headers, etc, that takes way more time. Even if you can do that with SEOquake for free by viewing google top 10 , its not laid out in a neat chart like N N N Y , for each factor, you have to take notes for each site by hand..........(who wants to do that?) You cannot ANALYZE the backlinks of your competing sites with SEO quake, (whats the anchor text of the backlinks? whats the PR of their backlinks) Guys say ok i can do this in SEOspyglass (sure SEO spyglass does a fantastic job, please enter each url separately and sit there and wait, what if the site has 10,000 backlinks?) All this takes much more time if you try to do it with free tools Time is money There is absolutely no way in hell you can search as many kws daily with free tools as you can with paid tools, no way I do not think there are any serious webmasters out there trying to stumble their way through their online marketing businesses with just using free tools. if they are they are only hurting themselves |

thanks @outwest for your response. it is really enlightening. you answer given me more value than i expected. thank again for this value. i purchase the software because someone suggested me that it is good and give the results fast and also gives lot of extra information which google keyword does not provide us. i basically search the keyword from google and i love it and searching keyword from MS is really tough for me because i am inexperience regarding using MS. so that is why i am looking for tutorial. @majortraders i pay $97 for this software. i know it is very high price but i have to do it because my friend told me that this is basic thing if i choose the wrong keyword than all the efforts and time invested in the site is going to be waste so i have to do it. that is why i purchased it. sanjay sharma |

Dont listen to people who say you can do the same thing for free, any seasoned professional webmaster uses paid tools, if he really values his time, and thats what MS does, save time Another tip, you can use MS to analyze the backlinks of your competition also if you see someone and think hmm wonder how strong these backlinks are? just hit the little arrow to the far left by that listing in the top ten it pulls up the analyze backlinks PR feature and it also analyzes one other backlink feature thats very convenient, Thats what I like so much about MS it lays out everythign on the top 10 for you in such an easy to see format where you see all your top 10 in one view, and you can see if they have onpage SEO factors or not, low backlinks or not, high or low PR, etc etc etc No free tool does that | |
