Default Should We believe in Market Samurai?

At first, Here is the difference between Market Samurai and Traffic Travis in displaying top 10 competition. I manually search in google.com/ncr and the result is similar to traffic travis

And here are two different results with same keyword, same project

Do you have any idea? Should we believe in MS? Or How we can config MS to display better result?

When you manually search Google the results with be skewed because Google using your history to tailor results. Clear all your caches and try searching again and see what you get. Market Samurai is pretty good, but it is always subject to change.

I've noticed it sometimes doesn't get the top ten google results right. I've also noticed it doesnt always get you the right (approx) amount of backlinks to each website in the top ten google results either (using Yahoo anyway).

Not sure way these things happen but it's a good reminder to use several different methods for this sort of info.

Yeah. I use Adwords tool and SEO quake too, amongst others. That's how I've noticed the different results these things can give. I wouldn't have noticed the differences otherwise would I?

I must admit, I use Market Samurai everyday , mostly to track my ranks for a list of keywords. However when I start a new project or want to learn more about my competition, what I get on the SEO COMPETITION tab is far from what I get from their Rank Tracker tab and also from Trafic Travis... I can see my website for a keyword lets say in 2nd position in the RANK TRACKER tab but for that exact same keyword, I get totally different results in the SEO COMP tab...

I find the SEO COMP tab to update the results once every 2 or 3 months...while Rank Tracker on the other hand seems ok and give me an accurate update everytime of the day but SEO COMP is really off 99% of the time in my case, always giving me the same results for months until all of a sudden I get updated results for some reasons...

Im really thinking about switching to ScrapeBox I heard soooo many great things about this product...and yes I use other tools like google and yahoo to double check everything but I really like all-in-one products for on-the-fly results when I have like 30 seconds to take a look at my stuff.

I might be a little biased but MS data is in fact skewed, their Top 10 results are different compared to what I see when using Scroogle.org.

This is the first time I see two different results for the same keyword in the same project though.

Yes this is very very strange. I've contacted MS's owner about this problem

SEOquake only gives you the number of backlinks
it does not analyze PR of backlinks
it does not give a spreadsheet for the anchor text of backlinks

without that how can you truly analyze the backlinks? with just a general "this site has 100 backlinks" piece of information

SEOquake also gives no onpage SEO analysis
without that you have ZERO idea about the sites onpage SEO, which is critical in choosing to go or not go with a kw

Thats why I use Market Sam to analyze top 10
I always compare the top 10, (well not always but have done many times ) in Market Samurai and what google shows

the only difference ever is if google slaps paid ads on top
