Default (Writers) Any Experience with "Constant Content?" or other "writing for payment?"

Hello warriors!

I really am hope to get feedback from experienced writers who write articles for payment.

I write articles for Textbroker. However, I am interested in expanding my
horizons
and was considering writing for Constant Content. I like the idea
of writing what I want, on subjects that I am familiar with (or what is "in demand")
and enjoy (sticking with a couple of subjects).

I am trying to get away from "writing for a specific assignment" like
Textbroker requires we do. TB's pay is very low, however it is steady, and
easy to select articles which makes it attractive. But writing based on
differing "client" need's, drives you absolutely crazy!

For examples, one day I'm writing on "health insurance," the next on "SEO,"
the next day "shampoo reviews" the following day "cabins vacations in
Tennessee," then on "heavy vehicle transportation logistics," then "brass
coat racks" and so forth.

It is a recipe for insanity! And, because I have to "learn/research" each
subject, it takes me an eternity to write. So, I'm making peanuts....

Can anyone give me a basic "STRATEGY" for starting on Constant Content?

(I'm already a member on CC, just haven't submitted anything yet)

Thank you very very much!

Hi Danni,

I am a highly experienced writer but I don't write for any of the mills.
However, I am a member of another forum which has a writers' section and a LOT of members who do write for all the mills. Maybe you can find your answers there.

I work with private clients and also get work form vworker.com.

Well i think if you provide "quality articles" you should focus getting job on your area of expertise. With good writing skills, you dont need to write about "any topic". Think why there isnt any sports-man that plays all sports, and its equally good at any.

I don't write for any of those places either, only for clients directly but I am sort of the opposite of the OP. I actually prefer to write on a variety of subjects to keep things fresh and interesting. I get tired of writing on the same subject over and over and I prefer to write on a lot of different subjects.

I thought I'd have a go at Constant Content, so I wrote an article in response to a request. It wasn't purchased, so I left it on the site. 18 months later, I received notification that it had sold, and I received $36 for the article. That was a nice surprise.

Their editing process is thorough and it appears from what I've read on their forums that many articles aren't passed. You seem to be able to price your article higher than what you'd get for it in other places, perhaps because buyers have confidence that your work has been checked.

However, your articles may not sell immediately, so there's not necessarily income straight away. Again, from reading the forums, some writers have an awful lot of articles for sale there, and have regular buyers, so it looks like you can make a few regular dollars there if you have a lot of "stock" for sale.

Audrey,

That was great information! I appreciate what I will refer to as encouragement. Yeah, I realize as well that an approach one may need to adopt is one where a number of articles, or as you referred to as a "stock" of articles. As an article here or there just isn't sufficient. In the 4 months I've been with TB, I've written about 130 articles, which that had been directed to Constant Content instead...

Anywho.....................

Still looking for an approach to a "STRATEGY" ??

@laurence
Thank you very much Laurence. But I think WF through a loop in your link, probably because it was going to another forum...
