Hey, I've bought the full version of market samurai.. Im currently doing keyword research but im pretty puzzled about what i want to see. I've been looking for keywords for some hours now but i can't really find any good ones, and i think the reason for this is because i don't really know what i should be looking for. My question is: what CPC/Competitionlevel/Seo traffic per day should i be looking for asuming that im a newb. thanks in advance, Nathan. |

Have you watched the videos that MS provides? It is a must that you watch them prior to using it.

there are two basic things to consider when choosing keywords. 1. Competitio 2. Number of searches you should try to target those keywords that have low competition but also have a good amount of number of searches. The competition should be minimum and the number of searches should be maximum. |

As I've said so many times before, there is no ideal number of searches or ideal CPC. If Adsense is your goal, just look for a combination of searches, CPC, and competition that fits your goal. For a safe estimate, I use my own formula and just make it a macro in Excel, based on the following factors (it gives you the minimum potential): - # of searches - % estimate for traffic (based on where you think you can rank on page 1) - CPC - % estimate for CTR - 20% estimate of what publishers receive For example, for a keyword with 3000 monthly searches, 25% traffic estimate, $5.00 est. avg. CPC, and 10% CTR estimate, it goes like this: [3000] x (.25) x [5.00] x (.10) x (.20) = estimated monthly potential earnings of about $75 Obviously this technique gives you a very rough estimate but it's a good way to compare. |

Basically you should be looking at how many times your keyword is searched monthly and how much competition there is to rank for your keyword.

In addition to..one thing you can do is to Profile Your Market And Keywords Unless you understand what your target market looks like, thinks like and talks like – you’re not going to get anywhere. You cannot sell something to somebody who just doesn’t want it. Get me? Get into your buyers mind and think how they think. Search the web how they might search – that alone will generate a ton of keywords you’d never think of. Here’s some other ways to find target market keywords * Visit forums in that niche. * Look for groups in that niche online or offline and join them. * Sign up for your competitor’s newsletters and look at how they’re doing it. * Read trade or industry magazines in that niche too – online and offline. Gather them up and brainstorm...You’ll be amazed at the types of keywords you’ll conjure up and they’re all based on the 100% relevant research you’ve already done. Then...break your keyword list down into separate sections so you can target your content most effectively. Buyers...Product searchers...info searchers.. This type of keyword will generate a lot of traffic to your site but it can also be the absolute hardest to convert unless you have an exact match info product for that niche. Yeah well... this might seem like an awful lot of work at first but the more you do keyword research the better you get at it. In no time at all you’ll be able to spot the “money keywords” a mile away. Hey who said it was easy? But definitely there will be gains Goodluck

Are you saying you are getting $5 per click paid to you? or are you saying you are using that 5 dollars x 68 percent Adsense payout (or whatever the exact number supposedly is) Also I see where you get the .25( I assume you are saying you are in the top 3 on google) The 5.00 I am still unsure what that is, where you get that CPC number The .10, I assume you mean 10 percent CTR the .20 where does that come from? | |

I think you should try some suitable keywords with low competitors but a good number of searches for your niche.I think you can choose a good one if you do right research by MS.
