What type of backlinks do you recommend?

What kind of SEO benefits could i achieve? I mean will creating backlinks to the article help my serps?

Personally, to backlinks like article directories, web 2.0, which are basic tier 1 backlinks, I blast the hell out of them with things like blog comments and profile links.

Ezine made it very clear that you cannot have linking in your article. The best is to include in your author profile. It takes a long time for ezine to approve your article, so don't mess up when you submit to them.

Hope publishing informative article through ezine platforms and updating resources section with related links can work and seems it is only the possible way to generate backlink for the website.

The best way to include your backlink in ezine is to include it in author profile as ezine does not allows us to post backlink in your article.

There is no need to create the backlinks to the ezine articles. You just concentrate on creating the backlinks to your website as creating backlink to the ezine articles won't help out with the serps of your site.

Do you own the EZA domain (didn't think so)?

You realize you can get high PR backlinks all day for free, why spend all your time publishing articles for backlinks, then creating backlinks to support a web page you don't own?

Ezinearticles is good but as pointed out you can't put your url in the body. Try articlesbase.com for that. You can submit the same article to both as long as it is your content.

Wouldn't backllinking an ezine article be a good example of "linkwheeling". If so, It seems like it wouldn't be a bad idea to backlink it.

This could not be more wrong. The links in the article body are no follow but the links in the author resource box are do follow.

The fact is where your article sits is almost always PR n/a
So the link juice is not that great but it is still a link.

You cand and should backlink to your article. I link to my articles just as much as my site. I have several articles which rank #1-3 in Google and get huge amount of traffic which in turn gets me a lot of traffic to my site.

If Ezine went to nofollow for all their links, they would go out of business. Same reason GoArticle, after changing to all nofollow links, basically lost 60% of their writers.

Love us or hate us, affiliates are the sole reason a lot of internet businesses are still alive and making money!

Not a very good post. You would want to backlink to it to get more traffic to your article, in which then your site gets more traffic.

There is a site out there about how to save money on groceries and he backlinked to his article, which then became #1 in Goolge. He has over 2 million hits in just 18 months!

That is why you backlink to your article!

Try to write an unique article (NOT SELF PROMOTION!). The article should also be informative (funny if the topic is related!), so the people would want to see it! Then the backlink with your keyword in the resource box will be valuable

I'm sure Chris Knight would be very appreciative, though! Think of all the extra money he could make in AdSense clicks if everyone worked so diligently to build up each individual page on his site

You know that the goal is to get people to come to your website, right? By building links to one of your EZA pages, your increasing the chance that EZA is going to outrank your own website for the same keyword(s).

And, before you say that your link is in the resource box and that people will click on it and eventually get to your site, remember that no one has a 100% click-through rate. Lots of EZA readers are lost to AdSense ads or other links that appear on your article's page. The more hoops you make people jump through, the smaller your chances of getting them onto your site and doing what you want them to do.

Why not use EZA what it's for - to provide webmasters with free content that they can publish on their own sites (with your link at the bottom)? That way, you're building links to your own site, instead of doing Chris Knight's SEO work for him

I thought it was a great post, though I'm a bit bias considering I wrote the comment.

Seriously, Have you ever looked at the amount of advertising links on an average EZA page? If you happened to get traffic on that EZA page, you would be lucky (very lucky) to get a 1% CTR on your resource link.

Is your goal to send traffic to EZA, or send traffic to your own site? Keep in mind, EZA won't put a penny in your pocket.

From what I know if you allow your article to get indexed on your site, then post it to EZA it gives you a backlink that was quick and easy to make but also boosts your reputation on EZA. Eventually you would get benefit of maybe traffic but more so the pages you created still gain SEO value that the dofollow link passes on. Tried and true however I do not know how much of an impact this has.

I do recommend creating original content for the Hubpages community though. Very good SEO value being passed to your site. I do understand Yukon's point however. You are better off posting your articles on your site however not everyone can pull this off, some people have horrible onsite SEO and little to no backlinking experience.

The question really is "Should I backlink my EZA article to get more juice?".

And the majority of the answers here prove most of you didn't even read the OP's question.

Furthermore, a large percentage of those that read the question think the OP wants traffic from his EZA article when he really wants a backlink that passes some authority so it will increase his SERPs.

Since the OP is from 4 months ago and the most recent question is related to "using EZA in link wheel" I have to say this: Show me ONE article on EZA (published within the last year) that has a verifiable backlink. You won't be able to. Why? Dunno. Does EZA hide it somehow? Dunno.

Since no backlinks show up to EZA articles, why on earth would you waste time backlinking them? You could use that time to spin (debatable) the original article and post them to articlerich, goarticles, ideamarketers, freelibrary etc and get much more valuable "juice" (hint: 'linkauthority' is measured in various backlink finding software... ideamarketers is very easy to pass authority too...)

Not to rant, but everyone seems so caught up in passing PR and juice and all that other junk to their site and choose to use the wrong methods to do it. Yukon is 100% right. All you are doing by backlinking EZA is...wait for it....nothing except make EZA richer. Instead of blasting your EZA article, why not slowly dripfeed your site and gain some backlink diversity?

So, in summary: Yes make a post to EZA as the backlink does pass some authority etc. Then spin (or not who really cares) the article and post it to goarticles and whatever else. Then if you please, backlink the sites that will pass juice (sooperarticles, ideamarketers, articlerich for example). But reserve your creativeness and energy to do something more useful: Make your site worth visiting, post unique content, and backlink your own site!

There is no reason to backlink to an EZA article, or any other
article. Backlinks to EZA articles are really backlinks to
EZA.

Why on earth would anyone tell this guy to keep worrying about

What you hope for, is one lousy backlink from EZA, not
the other way around. And hope someone publishes your
article and gives you a link. Any traffic from an article
on EZA is purely accidental. In fact, what's crazy, is

one of your EZA articles?
