What do you think about this?

I figured I would start to target very low competition keywords that will get me 5 or 6 visitors a day. I have a list of several keywords in different niches that only get 100-500 monthly searches and figure if I rank for each of these, or at least most of them then I will be looking at a steady 30-40 visitors to my blog each day. All of these keywords appear to be low competition from the research I have conducted.

Alot of the keywords under these niches have a CPC from 3-12 dollars. If I can get a 10 percent adsense CTR on a blog that is getting approximately 30 visitors a day, I could see about 1 dollar a day from this blog, maybe more.

My intentions are to build many blogs like this..

I am aiming small, and aiming for small goals. I want to see a steady income, even if it is only 1 dollar a day. That is a start, and it is better then what I have been making.

Once I have all of these websites up, I can decipher which ones are making the most money and I can better monetize them from there.

Call me crazy but this, to me sounds like it could be very profitable later down the road. Please correct me if you think I'm wrong.

Does anyone have any input on this method I plan to implement?

Seems like a good idea and it's worth a try. Keep us posted so we'll know if it's worth emulating.

It could work but depends on your adsense skills. If you are experience in getting high CTR for adsense then it is good. Because sometimes adsense CTR can be very low and you might not get clicks if your traffic is way too low. My target is always 100 a day even for a small blog

Well I can't really say that I have adsense "skills". I've made a little off of adsense but it was in a niche that doesn't have very high paying ads, so the earnings I made from each click were very little.

However, with these low competition niches/keywords, I plan on optimizing my blog solely for adsense to improve my CTR. I have seen some wordpress themes that are specifically made for adsense advertising.

Hmm, I believe it could work if you have a high CPC (aim for 8+ in my opinion) and you are positive you will get Rank #1 easily. Don't expect a stable income though, you will have a huge amount of spikes.
