I would like to ask you about your best way to increase YouTube views?
Most of my videos have got a fair amount of views but it takes time to make them popular. I'm wondering if you have other ways of increasing the view count?
I know about tags and header, description optimalization btw.

There's a Fiverr seller who will send you subscribers or views. She's had complaints that the subscribers are fake, though.

Why not create something viral, funny videos are a hit. One funny accident video in youtube got 44 million views. And I'm guessing that the owner didn't have to pay for views for it.

like commenting on other related videos,submitting articles with a link to your video,posting on web 2.0 sites like squidoo and hubpages,drive traffic from twitter,drive traffic from your facebook fanpage or facebook groups !

But be careful about softwares that allows you to gain views to your videos via credits....personally they freezed my videos view counts

Yeahh, making a viral video nowadays is pretty hard to do and 44 millions is a kick ass number evern for a pro. I have a funny video, i did as a joke and it got 26,000 views in about 4 months but it's far form a million )

Scrapebox used to have a function that faked views for Youtube, ezine, etc. Don't think this still works though.

However, you can still enter your Youtube video URL into the "slow" poster inside of Scrapebox as many times as you want your video to be "seen." For example, if you want 500 views, paste your URL 500 times into the "Websites" box, check the "slow poster" option, and go. Scrapebox will attempt to post to the page and fail, since it's not a valid blog.

These attempts will count as views. And if you've got a ton of proxies loaded up it will rotate them on each attempt.

That said, I'll bet it's not incredibly hard to spot. So I'd be careful.

Well sex sells, however I would avoid using deceptive tactics to get views as this will only result in a thumbs down and abusive comments flooding your way.

Its not so much numbers with youtube as it is quality and targeted viewers.

I mean how mnay times have you been ric rolled within an hour of being on youtube???

Honestly, video responses are over-rated now. They used to be very good, and I wouldn't completely discourage them (for some small traffic), but don't except to get a nice chunk of views just because you made a video response to a video with millions.

Hey there,

A Youtube video will get a lot of hits only if its good. People love entertainment and education/information. So first you must make sure that it's top notch.

Then you can market. The first thing to do is target it towards a keyword. Make sure it's in the title.

Then share it on all social networks; facebook, myspace, twitter, friend feed, etc.

Then book mark all of them on bookmarking sites;stumbleupon, delicious, etc.

Then put the video on all video sharing sites; buzznet, flipya, google video, yahoo video, etc.

Then write 10 blog post comments pointing to each of the following I have discribed above.

This will help you alot get many many many many many views lol.

Don't buy views! You can get them for free.

I use Vagex.com. It's like a view trade thing, you watch videos and other people watch yours. They auto-rotate so you really don't have to watch them. And when you get people to sign up you also get some bonus views. So by the way if you join, use my referral link Vagex.com.

I've used this site for a few months now and it's great, can get a few thousand views in a week. I also submit to social bookmarking sites, RSS feeds (your YouTube RSS link), build a few backlinks, and of course optimize the on-page video SEO.

If it was me I wouldn't use a service start commenting on other videos and maybe even start doing video responses for other videos so you build a really good base.

Also when you upload your video you want to make sure that the file name is your keyword I don't know why that works but it does.

Then share your video on Facebook or Twitter then if you have a blog put it on there and even squidoo or hubpages

I tested Viewet with 6 videos. Within a month, all were on page 1 for my targeted keywords.

Of course, I also optimized the heck out of them and built links (nothing major, but I did build them).

I also built 4 additional videos (under 60 seconds each), optimized them for the same keyword, and pointed them at my money video. I ran these through Viewet also. Result? My money video is #1 for the keyword, followed by the 4 feeder videos.

However, it wasn't until Viewet was working for a few weeks that the magic happened.

I have also tested viewet and the results are very good. It does take a few days to a week for the amount of views to increase. However this is a good thing! You don't get a 1000 views in a short amount of time and as Riverdude mentioned the views are all from different IP addresses.

Oddly enough gun related videos seem to get lots of views. I discovered this accidently I was looking for something on a new pistol that Springfield has. It's a match grade 1911 45 So I entered "1911" in the search box and got a bunch of results and then i started noticing the views on these videos. Frankly I was quite surprised. Of course you have to look at how long the videos have been up but none the less these views were completely natural.

Try pointing other SEO'd traffic sources at your videos. So imagine an optimised article thats getting lots of views that has a link to your video in the article.

What about putting it on a high traffic blog? Maybe find a blog in your niche and offer the video plus a unique article for the blog owner.

I wouldn't go for any fake views or fake subscribers. If you want to make money from your video do everything for real.

I often place videos in my article network software so it gets embedded on lots of sites and I link to it with an anchor text to boost its rankings too.

Secondly, use titles and video descriptions that have keywords in them, so people searching on youtube / google for this keyword will find it!

Twiends hasn't been doing Youtube views for a while now. They're strictly for Twitter following.

'Fake' views sound useless but they're not. I always start each video with at least 1,000 'fake' views to get the ball rolling. More views=higher rankings plus higher social proof. When people see your video in search results and notice you have a lot of views, they'll be more likely to click on your video compared to one with 100 views. It's a perpetual effect.

I prefer Vagex and I've tried other view providers and nothing compares IMO. You'll also notice that's a referral link, a great thing about Vagex is they have 13 different ways you can gain points. Referring others is just one way, and BTW I wouldn't recommend it if I didn't use it. It works for me and I've used it for my clients' videos as well. I've never spent money purchasing views from the site, plenty of ways to get free points.

'Fake' views isn't enough though. It's just one of the first steps. If you want real views fast you also need social bookmarks, some embedded video links (embed your video on your site and/or video embed sites), and some social media links. Also make sure your video is SEO optimized and submit your Youtube RSS feed to RSS Submit.

If you do the above and still don't get good rankings in Youtube/Google, you can add some blog comment links and forum backlinks. I've tried article links and they don't do s**t for videos (at least from my experience). Tested that pretty well so I can say that with confidence. BUT emeding your video in relevant articles will help. Just don't post articles with anchor text to your video and expect magic to happen, you'll be disappointed.

Most important things: Video SEO optimization, RSS feed submit, social bookmarks, 'fake' views and thumbs up's, and social media links. Do these things right and you should be able to rank a video very quickly.

It strikes me that these are just short term strategies because in the end quality should win through. Of course, if your content is high quality then perhaps this is what you need to do to be even found? It does raise some ethical issues in my mind.

I was reading another post by an SEO expert who was highly successful at getting his website ranked but his copy was incomprehensible because English is his second language. Nevertheless he was leveraging his ranking to run a highly successful business. However, the content itself was really horrible.

Do you ever wonder if you are ruining a great tool through strategies like these?

Why not play by the rules and create something of value....much better and Google and YouTube will appreciate you more for it. If nobody is watching your video then there's something wrong don't you think?
