Best place to learn SEO

Hi everyone,

This is my first ever post on warrior form as I am a newbie to the IM world. I have started off with a small website with a few affiliate links but can't seem to generate any organic traffic.

I hired a freelancer to write me some articles with a few of my chosen keywords but now would rather write my own articles and really learn all i can about seo and ranking in google.

Anyone got any suggestions on where to get trustworthy and up to date info?

There is a great forum out there called SEO Chat. You might also want to check SEOmoz, it's another great resource. Also there are quite few free SEO guides in Make Money Online and WSO sections. Take a look around, pick an ebook, read articles, and learn.

I have to agree with eljeffe. Just dig around in here. I havent been a member for very long but already i can tell you that this is a treasure chest for that kind of stuff. guaranteed its been discussed already and new ideas are coming out every day. search and start at the beginning

Web is the best place for learn anything. There are lots of E books , discussions forums SEO Blogs are available for learning SEO online.

I think you are getting some great links to resources within this thread.
The two most important ways to learn SEO in my experience is:

1. Make sure you source information from multiple sources as there is a lot of conflicting information regarding SEO.
2. Never take any piece of advice as fact... Test it yourself and see if it works.

Most people have covered the resources that you should use such as SeoMoz (there beginners guide to seo is pretty superb). My adivce is to get a domain and a small website then put all you learn from forums, articles and guides etc into practice on your site. Dont go for a super competitive term, just something that has some search volume and then you will be able to see what does work...and what doesnt work...This way you develop first hand knowledge and your own understanding of seo improves tenfold :-)

It teaches you everything you need to know about internet marketing which includes a lot of intense training on SEO. i will recommend you take a clean live coaching class or training from real seo expart, its a way better than buying couses after couses (or WSOs after WSOs) though i have to admit that its usually costly some times but its well worth the investment if you get lucky to meet a nice person that is really willing to help you succeed.

i currently enrolled in one of precious ( Gdatonator WF Coaching program couple of weeks back and I am aready seeing some improvement on my rankings.

I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate UniversityIt's what helped me, in fact, I'm still a member. There is also an interesting ebook you can read. It's called Mad Marketing Medthod. I recommend this to anyone who is new to internet marketing. I hope this helps.

I agree with you that this is a great forum but I have noticed that there is a lot of spammers came to this place and post non-sense post and will just drop their link directly. It is better to look for a video tutorial or pdf file.

!) Refer some seo forum, there you will get some seo experience thoughts from experts (warrior forum, digitalpoint)
2) Refer seo videos in youtube
3) search for "free seo ebooks" in search engines
