How do you find what page you're on on Google

For a specific keyword, when it seems you'll be pouring over the pages forever?

I tried some free tools and they're all rubbish.

Google Webmaster tools is best it shows all search queries and keywords for which your website is shown in results with the ranking for every keyword.

I use an Iphone app called SEO Ranking. I have found it to be pretty accurate when I compare the results to other more robust tools.

Plus it only costs a few bucks and I can check my rankings anywhere.

When I put "aspergers girl" into google it comes up #1. But webmaster tools are saying that it's at #16

If you use Firefox, Rank Checker works well for something that's free.

You can use PageWash.com and then use proper Google TLD. For example:

If you want to check rank in Google.com:

1. Open pagewash.com
2. Write Google.com in textbox
3. Search your query.

If you want to check in Google.co.uk, then write Google.co.uk in text box.

This works well.

What Courtney said and also be sure you are not logged in to Google when you run your checks.

Agree, semrush is just a bit expensive, but it's main function is researching and showing competition. Looking where're you in google is additional option. Of course, there's no need to subscribe for semrush pro account, just only for looking where are you in google.

Not sure which tool to trust the best either. They are often showing a little bit different results in terms of positioning of a website on the SERP - sescout, semrush, scroogle, etc.

I think Google Webmaster Tools is the best to find this info out. However, I think it also gives you a ranking with paid ads included. So naturally your results will be No.3 but overall its more likely No. 6.

Sometimes you may not find your site at all, if you are not in the top 1000, as Google is only limited to the first 1000 pages
