Contextual blog network links

Who here is having great results with contextual links on blog networks like BMR and linkvana?

It seems to me that google will never really be able to detect and lower the value of this type of link compared to other types you can build...

So I'm wondering if many of you are pretty much solely focusing on building these type of links. ?

How do you find these private networks? I guess all I know about are those 2 public ones.
