how to do the local keyword search in area wise

i do not understand that what i do. i wanted to do the keyword research in city wise but do not know that how can i do it. i wanted to know about the dentist in Dallas and i have market samurai. so please let me know that how can i know the the ranking in search engine in local.

and how to improve the ranking in local area wise.

Search for Dallas Dentist and other related keywords, then evaluate the top few sites in each result.
