Just curious if you guys that are experimenting (or heavily using) youtube have a different CTR for AdSense than your other sites in the same niche? Is it better, worse or about the same? I haven't entered the youtube world of adsense yet.. but heading that direction. |

You're probably not going to get too terribly much information regarding specific CTR %'s and such, since it's against the TOS to disclose such information. I've asked that same question here before, and got pretty much the same answer. :-/ Unfortunately, it's something I'd like to know too.. haha. Quote:

Oh.. I doubt that well over half of this forum cares about that, since well over half don't reveal their sites. I see CTR % discussions on here all the time.... and I always reveal mine. But nobody knows my sites. |

I talked to my brother yesterday & he told me he is getting average around 5% CTR on Youtube/Adsense. I also have a Youtube/Adsense channel but I don't have a lot of videos on my own channel, been busy with everything else. It's all ready & waiting for me when I get time. My brother was smart in what he is doing on Youtube, he picked a single keyword & is hammering the #*%$ out of it by creating a lot of videos all targeting the same keyword. A single video targeting a single keyword will just get lost in the millions of videos on Youtube, you have to scale up. Almost all of his video referrals are from his own videos, lol (he owns that keyword). |

Thanks yukon. That's what I was looking for.. 5% is pretty good.. and I can agree that a vid would easily get lost in youtube land. I'm helping a high school kind next door to me who wants to develop a channel and so we'll be approaching this from the "long haul" perspective. It just got me wondering if I should be targeting youtube more. |
