Hi all, All pages of my site have been indexed by Google but none yet by Yahoo or Bing or probably any other search engine. Obviously I want the most traffic I can get. What's the best way to get indexed by Yahoo and others? thanks, Ritchie |

They are slow to update their indexes. Just wait.

I agree, once you have your site indexed by Google it takes awhile for Yahoo and Bing to catch up.

You could always do it the old-fashioned way, and submit your site to them..... lol Submit URL to Google Sumbit URL to Yahoo! Bing one has not been working lately, sorry. They seem to have switched to MSN or something. Their submission page doesnt show up anymore. Also be sure to ping them. I used www.pingfarm.com before I got Scrapebox. And backlinks are always a good thing to have. I used www.thefreeblogcommenter.com (again before I got Scrapebox) to find relevant blogs to my niche, scan the PR of them and then start manually posting my comments to each one. Just customize them as you see fit for each blog. And you should only post to blogs with a PR of 1-10. Do not post on blogs with a PR-N/A or PR-0. You will really love the results. I went from not being found in the first 60 pages of SERPs to page 7 with this tool (again before I got SB) LOL I am now on first page of search results for my keywords for all of my websites, my highest site currently ranking a PR-2 |

| IMHO, there is never a reason to 'submit your site' to any search engine... There have been many cases where this caused the indexation to take longer than it otherwise would have. My guess is they throw those in some sort of pile to get to later.

I have always submitted my sites to search engines (mainly Google Yahoo and Bing) as soon as I register the domain. By the time I have them setup how I want them, their crawler comes along. If I don't plan on doing too much with it at that exact moment then I just wait. |

There are two or three methods that search engines keep crawling your websites. First of all, submit your website then keep updating your website content and also ping.

Yahoo finds most web sites through links on other web sites. If many other web sites link to your site, Yahoo's spider will find your site. When Yahoo's spider visits your web pages, you should make sure that your web pages are optimized for Yahoo's ranking algorithm. Get links from other web sites. If many web pages are optimized for the same search terms, web sites with good incoming links will get better rankings. In addition, links from other web sites help Yahoo to find your site. |

As such, there are no different strategies for ranking high in Yahoo! and Bing. There are a few things that you can do, other than regular SEO practices, You can try some more techniques that can help you in getting indexed fast. - Submit your website to Yahoo! directory (this is paid directory and have good editorial command) - Social Bookmarking (Yahoo! Buzz) - Participate in Yahoo! communities - Join Yahoo! question Answers |

I would not even bother submitting to yahoo / bing. Just give it time. I have noticed that they are very slow to get websites indexed when compared to google. Just focus on building up your website and some backlinks to it and it will be indexed eventually. I have had new sites get indexed by yahoo in a timely manner and I have had them take many weeks. It can also be a bit trickier to get decent rankings in bing / yahoo as well in my experience. |

| Correct. I just want my pages to get indexed by yahoo/bing. You gotta be in it to win it right? Anyway, the best answer, I guess is that it just takes time. I have a few other sites--all indexed by yahoo. I was just wondering if there is a more direct way. thank you all for your answers. -Ritchie |
