Hey, I have done serious backlining few weeks, but since I'm a noobie in SEO I didn't know how to index my backlinks. Only few of my backlinks have got indexed. Now - Should I start searching my backlinks and start pinging them, or should I continue backlinking and forget about to ping them? BTW - How much time does it usually takes to get backlink indexed? Thanks! |

It takes a while for your links to get indexed. Anywhere from a couple days to a couple months. It depends on the PR and authority of the website with the link. For example, a link on a PR 6 site will get indexed quicker because Google crawls higher authority sites more often. In the same way, a link on a PR 0 site may not get crawled for 2 weeks to a month because Google does not crawl low PR sites as often. My advice is to wait for Google to naturally find your links, rather than pinging them. This gives the appearance of a naturally growing website. Pinging tons of links at once is not a good strategy. Good luck and keep up the linkbuilding! |

These days, pinging seems to do very little if anything in terms of indexing. There are indexing services out there that do work, but, if you are building really crappy backlinks, they may not be indexed regardless of what you do to them. I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that you are doing blog comments, forum profiles, etc., correct? In which case, you are probably not seeing much serp movement, because you need to focus on better backlinks. But again, not enough information to really offer you any advice here. | |

Sending backlinks to your backlinks and/or pinging are never bad ideas. Look into Backlink Energizer and Linklicious.

I don't thing that massive pinging could be very detrimental in any linkbuilding campaign. It comes as a natural aspect of linkbuilding. Some backlinks tend to be indexed in a weeks time for high PR sites; a reason why it is advisable to build links in these kind of websites. Sometimes, it could take a month or more before Google could index your links considering that the internet world is a vast and endless realm of information. Just be patient. Patience will always pay off. That's one of the usual blunders of IM people. They tend to be very impatient and they end up shortchanged.

Check out backlinksindexer.com. Pinging doesn't reliably get your backlinks indexed. |

Pinging in and of itself wouldn't do a whole lot so if you want to get your backlinks indexed, you'd be better off creating some backlink energizer clusters, or looking into Linklicious. You may also look into spinnets and send them randomly linking to your backlinks via AMR. It will get a good percentage of them indexed. Of course, never stop backlinking. Continue both side by side and automate as much as possible. |

Both! Create a backlink, use Backlink energizer, than use Scrapebox, rinse and repeat if not yet indexed and than ping them. Thats what I do and whats well for me.
