Default As of October 2011, Does Anyone Still Write for a Content Mill Successfully?

I used to be all about Hubpages, all about Infobarrel, and so on. But then Panda came along, and ive lost a great deal of interest. Articles that sometimes earned me money with AdSense are now sitting there collecting dust.

- Is it just me, or is anyone still kicking butt through these sites? If so, care to share how? For example, are you just playing "a numbers game", knowing that the more titles you have out there the better the odds at getting clicks?

- Do you focus on niches with a specified amount of monthly [exact] or "phrase" searches? Or do you simply write out of your gut?

Would be nice to see where the community of writers stand on these once-awesome sites.
