I've been reading about backlinks and I'm wondering...how much is too much or more precisely how much is too quick?? For example, one program claims to get you 500 backlinks like magic...if those all happen in say 30 days isn't google gonna back hand me?

Perhaps search volume could be used as an simple indicator. Imagine a keyword that gets 10000 exact searches a month. Even the number one in SERPs may get only 4300 visit. Thats a possible 143 hits a day. As big as Google is I would imagine they would be able to tell when a site getting that much traffic is getting more links per day than visits. In other words, keep it steady and natural. 100 links one week, 50 another , then 150 the following week. Mix it up. Most of those programs just create profile pages that may be on Googles D list anyway. So while you may get links, it won't mean any thing. |

500 in one day definitely kills you. Try about maximum 50 a day will be good.

Well according to me 20 quality backlinks daily for your website would be enough for the purpose of SEO.

One of the client I handled asked us to buy links for his site, and he specifically said that he want a sitewide links. To our surprised - a month after his PR 2 site is up to PR 4 but lost his keyword positioning. |
