For everyone here warning others and taking caution themselves to build links at a "consistent" pace to avoid Google sandbox... Let's say you just opened your site a few days ago and you write your first post. What happens if your post is so EPIC that a million people link to it naturally within a day? BOOM! Wut now?? I doubt the answer is -- you'll be sandboxed. |

google engineers are not that stupid, they are highly paid, and I am sure they can tell 1 million natural links and 1 million spam links

If you suddenly get links from spammy or near spammy links, then you probably will get sandbox. If it is natural, then there will be no problem I think.

A fresh website with an instant millions of backlinks will surely catch the attention of Google engineers and they will surely address the issue as soon as possible. These engineers are skilled in assessing whether a site's backlinks are spam or natural. If it's natural then good for you. If it's spam then off you go to the drain. Just imagine Justin Bieber putting up a new website. JB tweets and millions of followers link to his site. I don;t think it will be sandboxed. |

Ok, you can go ahead and think you wont be sandboxed all you want. Go ahead and try it out, but be sure to let us know how things work out. ![]() PS: good luck finding your site in SERPs for the next 5 years, HAHA I've been in this business for the past 2 years, I really hope you consider what I have to say here and seriously do not do it. ESPECIALLY for a new domain.. man you are really asking for it if you try this. |

Yea, it all depends on how natural the links look. In fact, I've come across SEO services that try to emulate this type of rapid, viral link building. It usually incorporates a lot of blog posts w/ unique content per post, microblogging (a lot of tweeting), and facebook shares. |

Yeah, I did read the post. I doubt it will be that "epic" to reach a million people overnight. Sorry but more than likely, its not gonna happen.. So build a million backlinks as fast as you can, and be sure to let us know how that works out for you. |

Doesn't say anything about building them. He's saying that he could make a post that is so 'epic' that a million people link to it, and Google would not sandbox the site. Which in my experience, is 100% wrong. Only reason I would make this post (if I were him) is because I planned on trying to build a million backlinks in such a short amount of time, and I would be looking for people to tell me "its ok" to do it beforehand. So maybe that was his hidden agenda behind his post, or maybe it wasn't.. But just in case I'm right, I figured I would let him know that its not a good idea. No post is going to be that "epic" that fast. Not unless you build the next Twitter/Facebook/Whatever. |

| I did read the thread. Perhaps you should read my entire posts instead of having selective vision over there. I've seen plenty of these "hypothetical" threads where it's not so hypothetical. They are almost always asking because they plan on trying it, and are trying to justify their actions before they do. Again, I'm not saying that he IS planning on doing it, but just in case I figured I would let him know that it's not a good idea. If not, no harm done. Go troll someone else. I'm just giving my input here, if you don't like it then don't read it. |

yh, I agree with snoob. Google has the ability to see through if those million backlinks are spam or not. No worries about that.

I think you need to expand your experience. There are many new posts that experience dramatic referrals and links, nearly everyday, somewhere on the Web. I have never seen Google, even once, "sandbox" the site for that situation. What we do often see is the web server gets overwhelmed and fails to keep up with the traffic demands. However, if the website is built to handle the volume, it never gets "sandboxed". I think you need to get out and look around a little more. There is a whole world out there full of overnight web sensations. | |

I know that it's possible. But as I said, its very unlikely. You can't go from being a nobody in Google's eyes to internet sensation overnight. Well, you can in some circumstances. But it just does not happen very often. Anyway, I'm done with this thread. I wasn't trying to be mean about anything, but I also am not going to sit here and defend myself for posting my opinion on a public forum. |

If your only strategy is to get massive links for SEO then you are not linking correctly. A link serves a purpose... and that purpose is to drive targeted traffic. If it doesn't drive traffic on it's own then it's not a good link. And the SEO Benefit will ALWAYS follow good links. This is why so many people FAIL. They think of back links only in terms of SEO. Thus they spend all their time placing them on pages that no one will see or use. Thus they are easily filtered and your time has been wasted. It's like fishing in a pond that is never stocked. |

Google has two sources of information it can look at (at least). The first is the number of people who have been searching for the keyword and clicked on your site. The second is the number of back links that are linking to your site. If there are few searchers landing on your site but a huge amount of back links, this is going to look very spammy. |

Hello lovboa Yes if people link to your site naturally you are save, but if it comes im a spammy way that means you have to await for google sandboxed because it must surely come to you. HERE ARE WHAT TO DO YO AVOID SANDBOXED : You share your website or pages to TWITTER, FACEBOOK and so on and get natural backlink which is very self. and always avoid blog comment it exposes you to higher chance of sandboxed. Hope it helps KELVIN WILLIAMS. |

Why people wanted to get something instantly i dont know. If you start making backlink perday atleast 5 manually after a month you will go to a good position and no one will baned you. why you go to xumercox, scrapbox, seonuke? shortcut brings accident. You can buy forum/blog link list then do manually. |

You won't be sandboxed, but most of the links will probably be discredited - meaning they probably won't help your ranking.
