|  Spammers - Not the Sharpest Tool in the Shed
I have a few old blogspot blogs, I happend to notice the only blogspot blog I allow comments on had a few pending comments waiting for me to approve them. This is how smart the spammer is... A long time ago, year or so, I got tired of spam on that blogspot blog. So what I did was change the comment URL CSS to plain text, only the text looks like a normal hyperlink & blends in with the rest of the blogspot templates hyperlinks color. You can't click the text, lol, it's just plain text, not a hyperlink. I still get these goofballs leaving links, ha, ha.  You would think they would check other comments on the page & see that those are not really backlinks, it's just plain old text, that just sits on the page doing nothing... One blog page has 100+ comments & zero external links, most comments are real I just let a few that are spam onto the page If they include my own pages keyword or any similar words. Sure it could be just 1 backlink on a massive xrummer blast, but I like to think that some jack wagon actually wasted part of their life trying to get a free backlink on one of my sites, only to fail in so many ways. That poor sap thought he had a free link. |

Not everyone runs automated software, I bet most newbs don't even know that stuff exist.
