9 days. Domain no longer up, but it was Thirty One Purses. Domain was THirtyOneGiftsByMel.com (no longer active). It was a shame it had to come down... it had a lot of potential.

This morning, I made a post about the Eban Pagan Marriage.

20 minutes later, someone told me that I was ranked #1 in Google for that phrase. And I still am.

Now there are two reasons why he won't like that post when he finds it.

Front page with 56 min with a competition of over 10million but I also needed to continue working at it because I dropped to page 2 with in 24hours but I got myself back up to front page after 2 weeks I no longer had to work at it.

lol. There's no big secret to getting ranked high and fast - a link from a genuine ( and relevant) authority site will often do it. The trick with a competitive, paying keyword is keeping it there.

The 13 year old was just picked randomly. Just to show that there are keywords that have a few searches and very low competition and you can possibly rank within a short time.

Slapped up a page with content with an affiliate banner at the bottom. Optimized it for a keyword and then submitted some links to it.

24 hours later, the product made a sale on Clickbank. Went to check the rankings at it was at the #1 position.

Made money within 24 hours, so rationally it took lesser than that to rank.

Within a Day; wasn't constantly checking. Just came in a day and realize my site was ranked around 3-5 for a fairly competitive search term. About 743 000 Competitions in Quotes (btw this doesn't give a justified competition analysis though) but the # of backlinks were mostly in the high XXX to low XXXX for the top sites.

My site made it there with about 50 backlinks lol; It sustained around the 1st page for a good while. The key is getting the authority backlinks. These are quickly indexed and show great results fast.

555 000 Broad searches (really useless but usually keyword neighborhood so you also rank for some similar keywords but take about maybe 1% of that amount + the Exact Keyword you rank for) and 4400 Exact

Did you really think people were just gonna hand over their ranking keywords when you didn't?

And "quality keyword" is a very subjective term, I can rank for a long tail keyword that may mean nothing for anyone else, but if it is the keyword that I wanted to rank for then it is "quality" as far as I am concerned.

4 minutes - not telling you the keyword.

This stuff is not rocket science. Speed depends a lot on whether your site is new or not and how often the bots come around. You can train them to come all the time.

I make a habit of pinging, bookmarking and rss sharing new pages that I want to rank, so there are multiple bots arriving at new pages and multiple other sites sharing that new page very quickly too, so it's no surprise to get indexed and found quickly.

Like others have said, without knowing the competition for these keywords, saying you've got something ranked in (insert time here) is completely pointless. It's like saying you are the number 1 ranked player in the world for a sport you just invented......

And it really is that easy!!!

To get ranked fast, you have to get crawled fast.

The Warrior Forum is one of those authority websites that gets crawled really fast.

Generally, anything posted here in the forum will get crawled in just a minute or two.

Some of us have websites with an authority status that allows us to duplicate the crawl rate seen by the forum. This is the secret to fast rankings.

It is true. Yet, for many of us, we did not post to pound our chests or to brag. We were asked a question, and we answered honestly.

Yes, it is more of a feat to accomplish when we are ranking for keywords that are extremely competitive.

I have thousands of page one rankings that deliver traffic to my websites. I am not pounding my chest, but merely stating a fact.

Many of those rankings are for keywords that are extremely competitive, although not all of them.

On the "of xxx pages" calculation in Google, I have page one and #1 rankings against anywhere from Several Hundred Thousand to 2 Billion pages.

It looks great on paper, but those numbers are broad search. Google doesn't show us the exact search numbers, until we put quotes around the search query.

Against exact search, my page one and #1 results are ranking against Hundreds of Thousands to Millions.

Yet, even those numbers are not true to my competition. The reality is that my page one and #1 rankings are in niches with Tens to Hundreds of competitors.

That is the point you were driving at, but even your measure of value misses the mark.

In the end, what really matters is if the ranking keyword delivers buyers to my website and those buyers put cash in my pocket!!

If a particular ranking keyword does not put money in my pocket, then that ranking is worth nothing more than "bragging rights".

At the end of the day, I can't feed my kids with bragging rights... And neither can anyone else.
