Hi! Yeah, this is my first post here but i've been reading this forum for a long time and learned a lot from you guys. Now I would like you to help me with some guidelines about setting up new content site from scratch. (And earn a little bit from it). I have a plan for doing it and I've done this before but now i would like to see different perspective about it and maybe collect something valuable from it. I have a niche with around 200,000 searches per month with very low competition + around 50,000 extra in long tail keywords I would like to monetize it with 4-7 affiliate programs. 1. Wordpress or pure HTML? Wordpress is much easier to maintain but with HTML i feel my code is cleaner and always had better SEO results without Wordpress. 2. Time span. How long is average time to see any earning (even 1$) for you guys. I need this one to optimize my business plan. What are your experiences with "from scratch" "original content" "honest" sites? 3. Combination of Adsense and affiliate ads. I usually avoid it believing that it's Adsense push visitors away but can it be used as a backup plan? 4. Newsletters. What are your real experiences with it? Do you find it very useful? Since it is "a must" in every marketing program I wonder if you can scale what is the real value of it in your sites. I have plan on expanding on related niche so I'll use it definitely but what percentage of sales is expected from it ? 5. Linking. Do you have aggressive link collecting strategies from start or you slow down a bit? Those are few of my doubts that I can remember now. If any show up I'll write. Thanks for help |
