how many backlink per page per day

have been hearing lots about google slap don't want to fall victim and i just created a site of about 65 pages, am about to start the backlinking process hence the need to know how many backlink will be OK per page in a day.

From my experience I can say that it helps to have high quality back links instead of having 100's of backlinks from low page rank sites.

Look at it like this, if you have a website about recent world news, and you have 1,000 back links from low quality blogs that are not related to your niche you might not see better results then someone who has back links from high quality websites about world news (Example: CNN, Huffingtonpost, drudge report ect.)

Quality always over quantity.

I had just read the other day that 10-20 links per day is in the acceptable range

What if you write a really awesome post and it goes viral and gets 10,000 links in one day?

Think logically about your link building and make sure your plan makes sense.

With the number of links it really depends on many factors, like for instance if they are coming from same website/IP (500 links from one blog vs one link from 500 blogs). I wouldn't try to build 1000s of links over a very short period of time as you can get penalised, and trust me, you don't want that to happen. Try to get quality dofollow links from blogs, especially the .edu ones! Couple of these links are worth more than 100 from auto approve nofollow blogs!

I really don't think that there is an ideal number of backlinks. Consider the fact that there are some popular websites that are being linked to by millions of websites all over the world. I think one of the primary rules in backlink building is it must be continuous and have a steady pace.

There are no rule how many backlinks usually per day. If your website already established you can have as many backlinks/day.

but for new site, i recommend just 25 backlinks/day (maximum)

Logic! What a concept. Don't you wish there was more of it?

Since you can't control the number of backlinks, why would a sheer
number matter?

Some people go for quality over quantity. I go for as much quality as
I can. I sure would not limit myself on that.

People think google sees your links as soon as you make them.
Not very likely. So even then they myth falls apart.

Make sure your backlinks are indexed and of variety. What I mean is not all backlinks are profile links or all blog comments. Aside from that, make sure all your backlinks are indexed as well.

For a brand new site, add links slowly but accelerate it. What I mean by that is 10 backlinks per day this week, 15 backlinks per day next week and so forth to gain ground on the SERP. And again, it's super important to make sure these backlinks are on indexed platforms.

When I'm not so busy, I think I'll release a WSO about backlinks and how to build them automatically to help everyone that have an interest in this topic.

I don't know why one would be doing things as slowly as that for.

But again, as stated, what happens if you attract a ton of linkbait?
That's your goal, right? Pity if people broke your rules and gave you
tons of backlinks. Better put a sign in bold letters on your site:
"Please don't link to me."

I make 20-30 links a day per page. Just submit your page to relevant sites and it will not get in any harm. It would be better if you do it regularly.

Say what you will but not all brand new sites will get a ton of linkbait. If that happens, great! But don't count on it.

As for my statement, it was an example. With the latest Panda update, you do the link blast with a software and you'll see the punishment from Google. Trust me, I had done all the link blast and bazillion backlinks in the past so I'm no stranger to this.

There isn't any rules on how many backlinks a day. Most important thing about link building IMO is natural looking (at least in the eyes of Google) and quality.

Don't do 10,000 profile links, 20,000 blog comments etc. Make it natural.

Yes, it's all about gaining trust with Google when it's a brand new site. Then you can accelerate the backlinking process to move up in the SERPs.

It's not fixed how many links you make it may be 10 links/day or 20 but quality matters.

Increasing number of submissions weekly will help you lot like 10 links daily for 2 weeks then 20.

Google will consider that day by day a lot of sites are linking to you and you are going more and more relevant and trusty day by day,which is good signal IMO.

The most important things are to-

-vary link source
-vary anchor text
-build links to inner pages as well as the homepage

You don't need to do x amount a day or this can make a footprint. I do my link building randomly with none somedays and others lots!!! Also apply tiers to your link building to give more juice.

It is better to have a few good quality links than having massive links in a day. It seem to be spammy if you do 100's up of links everyday.

It seems very body is dodging away fro the main question be it edu or gov, my question still remains HOW MANY BACKLINKS SHOULD BE GIVEN TO A PAGE PER DAY. i will be very glad if i get definite answer

A lot of terrible advice in this thread. You just need a few relevant contextual backlinks a WEEK, a few .edu, .gov here and there plus AWESOME ON PAGE optimization, and you will outrank all these people who build lots of random junk a day. No need to waste time building links all day

I think the number of backlinks is what someone would deem a natural within a day, ofcourse that number fluctuates for different folks but as long as it doesn't look feasible to be done naturally in that time period you may be OK
