I got slapped with a google penalty. I'm still indexed but I rank on the last page for the keyword, so I'm pretty sure it's an algorithm penalty, but I'm not sure. I'm 90% sure it's due to overoptimization of my main keyword, which honestly I have not been careful with. My question: Is it possible for me to remove the penalty? Right now I'm focusing on a variety of other keywords to even it out. Will that help, or am I basically screwed? Thanks in advance! |

Yes, it's possible to recover. No guarantees, but it's very possible. You might even recover without doing anything. But diversifying your anchor probably will help.

Also ya over optimization and using same anchor text its also not good you can use partial match or contextual to save your site from penalization | |
