What's the point... those are pass through pages primarily as users click to get a list then move to the content. Do you even want these pages indexed and found in search? You can place ads in these Categories by pasting them directly into the template if you want. In my opinion they would be empty impressions... but who knows maybe in niches where there is a very short attention span and a lot of exit traffic from sites that are indexed for these pages you could score exit traffic. However it's unlikely to be a very good strategy especially if you have a poorly designed template. Ads that do not pull high bounce rate exit traffic are going to kill your site over time as Google sees the 5 seconds people are spending on your site and your Organic rankings die. Quick Adsense is a good plugin but it will NOT place ads on the Category Pages. |

Just so you know - Putting ads on a category page is likely against the AdSense TOS and can get you banned. Especially if there's little to no content on the category pages. Exerpt from AdSense TOS: Quote:

People keep saying there are plugins for this... I have NOT seen one. Quick Adsense will NOT do this. Can anyone give me a link to a plugin that will do this? These pages are NOT content. Again they are probably not the pages you want indexed. You want your content pages indexed. It seems a lot of people like to chime in without really understand what is being asked. |
