Heres a small tip I found today hmmm

some of the famous celeb
hollywood sites, in their comments, if you leave a comment you can put a site link and they give high PR backlinks
I just checked and got PR4 And PR6 from just two comments on one site,

No the sites are just high PR , very high
but I was just messing around assuming the comments on the stories would have PR0 but when I looked at market samurai backlinks I was like where did this PR6 come from wow
when I checked they had already removed the comment but, apparently the site was never respidered so the backlink remains active as far as the SERPs

but I think If I comment on 3 day old stories, they wont remove it since I doubt they go back and look at old stories
I am trying this as an experiment, and then pinging the comments since they might not be indexed otherwise, might be an easy way to get high PR backlinks

Beware, some of the pagerank check tools on the web actually show you the PR of the DOMAIN (even if you put the entire page url), instead of page itself!

This is Market Samurai top 10 analysis, what about them?

and not to cast doubt on what you are saying but I got two different PRs
PR4
and PR6 backlinks showing from the same celeb website
so thats impossible if what you are saying is true,
or at least this means that Market Samurai must be differentiating individual URL PR values

Problem with commenting on old stories is that they have to get approved don't they, and if they are that old, will the admin still be bothered to moderate/approve them?

No this particular site is, well it might be moderated however its an auto block for bad words
posts are auto approved, they just appear once I click on the email verifiy

its not a typical blog setup with wordpress, its not wordpress
if the post had to be approved by a moderator the original post with my link in it would have never gotten on the page, and it did
its only later I guess they go back in and take stuff out

I doubt that they do that on 3 day old stories

Im saying I think MOST of these celeb type hollywood places that have comments and most do, are high PR popular sites
many will allow well not sigs, but links in the posts,
and apparently the comments have High PR values also

as with anything
people are not going to give away all their secrets
I think I have given away enough to help you on your journey
just go find a few sites and experiment
hell i might just go find a lot more now

by the way, I am the ONLY person I have seen commenting and putting href links in the comments
some of the other posts try posting the url directly but
it just comes out as a text post, not a hyperlink, I just used standard html <a href=
in my post and it turned into a link

kind of like finding buried treasure
of course someone is not going to tell you where he hit gold, he might just give you the general area like I just did

Wrong. The fact that market samurai still shows the link does not mean it is still counting on Google (if it ever was). None of the tools are accurate with what links Google may or may not count because Google gives out very little link info. A very high pr page will be crawled again and the link will fall off and probably already has. You rely entirely to much on what tools tell you.

If the indexed or cached version of the page where the link resides has your backlink on it still - I would put forth the suggestion that ... that is the highest probability that google still cares about that page and its content - and that is the closest we will get to knowing the link is counting towards our Google SERPS.

After doing some investigation I guess my theory that MOST of these celeb sites allow
links in the sig, is flawed, I tried it on about 4 more , some are sign in with facebook, yahoo. those auto delete html

some are DISQUS commenting which does the same thing

so I guess the one I found is a bit unusual, but hell I will keep posting there to see if I can add about 10 high PR backlinks

Do you think Google cares 'bout PR? Google Chrome doesn't even have a PR meter. PR means nothing and contributes to nothing.
